The Pink Dog has read many reports and reviews this first period of the year, from last fairs in Europe (Maisons et Objects, Imm Colonie, Homi Milan) and from many websites, and has selected its fav 5 among the best 2015 interior trends …
This is a personal selection, however if you want to learn more and have a quite complete idea of what will be the most popular decor trends of this year, here just some sources I’ve found:

I love the contaminations between minimalistic Nordic interior and ethnic inspired patterns.
A multicultural twist that puts together total white with total white zig zag patterns, colourful graphics, woven fabrics, linen stripes. You can find African style, Persian style and other various contaminations in this trend, even if maybe the one i’m spotting the most here and there is absolutery Moroccan style.
Moroccan influences are a great trend for this 2015, for example to be added with decorative tiles and moroccan rugs

Brass is the material of the moment.
Together with copper, that we’ve already seen a lot during last years. It may be used on accessories, tableware, lighting or event as accents in pieces of furniture. Both in brushed and polished finished, copper and brass are a great choice to revamp the look of an interior, and to warm up the look of your house

Not just total white and pastel shades in 2015.
Darker and more dramatic colours will be a trend for this year, we’ve already seen a lot of black back in the kitchens, but let’s consider many other unusual colour shades as well.
I’m thinking about olive greens, dark teal, charcoal grey and petrol blue, that are becoming popular colours in interiors and were quite unused during last years.

I’m talking about eco-friendly design and products: caring about nature brings in 2015 interiors new materials, such as raw wood, burlap ropes, linens that can be found in nature, and are used for new home accessories collections.
Sustainability in the design process (as a sample, on top Piet Hein Eek range of fair trade baskets, via Amara) and in interior design as well, with the reuse of discarded materials, of natural shapes and warm hues.
This is also one of the interior trend that can be adapted in different kind of interiors in the easiest and most ecletic way

Trend colour matches for this 2015 include warm colours, such as terracotta orange, coral, rich burgundy red, neutral ones, such as greys and pale plaster pink, and together with some very dark shades as dark teal, charcoal grey and petrol blue we’ve seen before.
Grey, soft pinks and copper tones are great if used as neutrals, and beautiful if matched together.
The pink I’m talking about is a very light shade, a powder pink in a warm hue that may be matched really in many possible combinations.
A great discovery this kind of pink 🙂
