Shall we start this summer week by travelling virtually to Mexico?

This beautiful boho chic home is the house of Brittney Borjeson, creator of Evoke The Sprit, an eshop selling items made by local artisans from the indigenous tribes.

In 2012 she felt in love with the beachside town of Sayulita, a village with fewer than 4,000 residents in Mexico, and after 13 years living an hectic life in Boston and New York City she settled here.

Almost everything here is custom-made, either by Brittney or with the help of village craftsmen. Two unfinished plywood crates stacked one on top of the other create the coffee table, while the sofas are two cement platforms covered with colourful cushions. The guest bedroom’s two-toned curtains were made by herself, by dipping linen panels into indigo dye.

Nel 2012 si è innamorata di questa piccola città di mare di nome Sayulita, un villaggio con circa 4,000 abitanti in Messico, e dopo aver vissuto 13 anni una vita frenetica tra Boston e New York City si è trasferita qui.

Qui in pratica tutto è stato creato su misura, o da Brittney o con l’aiuto di artigiani locali. Due semplici tavole di legno sovrapposte creano il tavolino da caffè, mentre i sofà sono due piani in cemento ricoperti di cuscini fatti a mano. La tenda bicolore della camera è stata colorata da lei con indaco naturale e metodo dipped&dye.
