Hello there, hope you had a great weekend! Here this weekend we painted our bathroom and slowly things are taking shape, I say slowly because these days I’m often out from home (September is a month full of fairs and events) so things really going on slowly on that side!

A few days ago I’ve been to Mercatopoli and finally put on sale some objects I throw away from my living room during my massive decluttering. Probably I already told you, but I’m quite obsessed by prints and frames and my home was really full of them. During my decluttering, I decided to keep just those ones I bought on travel or online from different Countries (so just those ones with a special meaning) and to eliminate all the others.

So I went to the Mercatopoli store very happy and proud with my two vintage style canvas in perfect conditions and put them on sale.

Avete trascorso un buon weekend? Noi abbiamo ridipinto il bagno e piano piano le cose stanno prendendo forma, ma davvero lentamente perché in questo periodo sono spesso fuori (Settembre è un mese ricco di fiere ed eventi) e quindi si fa quel che si può.

Qualche giorno fa sono anche riuscita a recarmi in un negozio Mercatopoli e finalmente mettere in vendita qualche oggetto che ho eliminato durante il mio massiccio decluttering di casa. Di sicuro ve l’ho già detto, ma sono abbastanza fissata con stampe e quadretti e ne avevo davvero in casa di ogni genere, ho deciso quindi di eliminarne alcuni. Il criterio è stato quello di tenere solo quelli che avessero un significato speciale per me, e si tratta soprattutto di quadri/stampe/targhe comprate in viaggio oppure in negozi online per me particolarmente interessanti (e lontani magari).

E quindi sono andata molto fiera da Mercatopoli con due tele colorate in stile vintage in perfetto stato per metterle in vendita.

Sell with Mercatopoli

Selling with Mercatopoli is really superfast and easy, so much so that, now that I started and I have my Mercatopoli card, I already found other pieces to sell (see: the red cabinet of my bathroom!).

When you go to the store for the first time you will receive a free card (3) that you can use then in all Mercatopoli stores (they are really spread all over Italy!). This card also gives the access to the reserved area My Mercatopoli, where you can check the status of your items on sale in real time. Remember to bring a valid ID first time you go to Mercatopoli!

The sale price of your items is suggested by sales assistants and it depends on the status of what you are selling. Once your items are sold, you will be given 50% of the sale price; if you are selling a piece of furniture with value of more 400 euros, you will get 60% of total price. After 60 days, your items will be discounted 50% off if not sold and put on sale for anotehr month.

Vendere con Mercatopoli

Vendere con Mercatopoli è di una semplicità disarmante. Tant’è vero che ora che ho preso il via e ho la mia card Mercatopoli ho individuato già un’altra serie di oggetti da mettere in vendita (vedi: il mobile rosso del mio bagno!).

In pratica, quando ti rechi in negozio per la prima volta ti viene consegnata gratuitamente una card (3) che potrai utilizzare in tutti i punti vendita (ce ne sono davvero in tutta Italia!). Questa card servirà anche per accedere all’area riservata su My Mercatopoli e controllare in tempo reale lo stato di vendita dei tuoi oggetti. Ricordati di portare un documento d’identità valido!

Il prezzo di vendita dei tuoi oggetti viene suggerito dagli assistenti alla vendita e ovviamente varia in base allo stato di ciò che vai a vendere. Una volta venduti gli oggetti, a te verrà dato il 50% del prezzo di vendita, nel caso si tratti di abbigliamento, oggettistica e piccoli arredi; nel caso di mobili con valore superiore a 400 euro, l’importo sarà del 60%. Se restano invenduti entro i primi 60 giorni, verranno poi lasciati in negozio per altri 30 giorni ma ad un prezzo ribassato del 50%.

Buy at Mercatopoli

Going to Mercatopoli is like having a walk in a flea market.

But the difference is, here everythin iss all labeled and priced, and divided into product categories ilike in new items shops. This is really good because you can find things fast and immediately knowing their price.

I really found any kind of objects in this store, starting from vintage Italian vinyls, to many interesting books sold with a supercheap price, to ceramics and so on. I couldn’t resist with all these kind of different objects and I put together some small color flatlays (very fast and with iphone,..!): Instagram lovers, Mercatopoli is definitely your place!

PS: I’m curious to know: is there something similar in your Country where you can buy and sell used stuff? How is it called?

Comprare con Mercatopoli

Fare un giro da Mercatopoli è come fare una passeggiata in un mercatino dell’usato.

Con la differenza che qui è tutto etichettato e prezzato, e diviso per categoria merceologica in un ordine che non ha niente da invidiare ai negozi di articoli nuovi. Questo ti permette di trovare molto più facilmente ciò di cui hai bisogno, oltre che di sapere subito il prezzo.

Io ho trovato davvero qualsiasi cosa, dai vinili italiani vintage, a tantissimi libri ad un prezzo stracciato, a ceramiche molto interessanti per la casa. Non ho poi resistito nel fare delle piccole moodboard cromatiche sul posto (molto veloci eh e scattando con iphone): amanti di Instagram, Mercatopoli è di sicuro un posto per voi!
