The last months of the year are the most exciting ones for all color-lovers. In fact, these are the months when color companies release their new collections and trend predictions for the next year. I’m sharing on italianbark.com some of the more interesting color trends and news spotted around the web and in the fairs.

Dulux is Australian’s most known paint brand and every year releases interesting new colors together with many ideas and  inspirations to apply their color in home interiors. For 2023, they released 3 new color palettes: jump below to discover them.

The Colour Trends for 2023 by Australian brands Dulux feature three new color palette for interiors designed inspired by our desire for calm and balance and for reconnecting with nature, but also of reviving our homes with joy and play. They are called Revive, Balance and Connect.

 

Palette 1 / Revive

Color Trends 2023 by Dulux

 

 

The Revive color palette is designed to create joyful  and creative interiors. Colors bring optimism and in this specific historical period incorporating some pops of colour can be essential in adding a positive vibe inside a space.

The featured colors are soft blue and lilac, together with accents of playful pink and emerald green. Warmth is added with golden and lemon yellow, together with a sandy brown.

 

 

 

/ How to apply this palette in home interiors

Play with nostalgic decorating elements by mixing ’80s-style colour blocking with mid-century furniture and decor. Choose soft and curved shapes and wavy lines inspired by the seventies, together with graphic and funky patterns. Palette 2 / Connect

Color Trends 2023 by Dulux

 

The Connect color palette is designed to reconnecting us with nature. The last years has proved how a home with a connection to the outdoors has become vital to our wellbeing and now more than ever we look for sustainability, authenticity and meaning in the items we choose, accepting also imperfection as part of the process of making.

The featured colors warm neutrals, all inspired by nature. Rich browns and olive greens add depth to the whole neutral and cosy color scheme.

 

 

 

/ How to apply this palette in home interiors

Create colour combinations inspired by nature using subtle neutrals or darker but always earth-based hues. Vintage mid-century style is mixed with country vibes, to add a rustic and inviting spaces. Play with layers and patchwork patterns to create a cocooning effect, alongside withy handcrafted decorating elements and recycled materials.

 

 

 

Palette 3 / Balance

The Balance color palette is designed to create a sense of calm inside our homes. With so much uncertainty and loss of control, there is also an increasing need for the reassurance rules and parameters. At the same time, natural elements such as the ocean have the power to calm us, with their unchanging movements and rules.

The featured colors in fact are inspired by the ocean, featuring both the hues of deeper waters and the soft colours of beach like Seashell white. Deep navy blues and burgundy together with black add some timeless elegance.

Embrace understated elegance by reducing to the minimum the decoration, and by creating visual interest with deeper colors. Be inspired by seashell colors and shapes, and by the ocean to incorporate some colors in the interiors.
