Iridescent design is one of the top trends for design, interiors and graphics now. Discover more on italianbark.com
In these days of really hot weather here, I would like to bring some freshness in the blog with some new colors.
Shades that recall soft pastel colours on one side, summer fluo colours on the other, mixed in the glazed transparency. Everything struck by light, that intense light of the summer sun.
The inspiration refers to the wider trend of coloured glass we already saw a few time ago while talking about the key trends from Milan Salone del Mobile 2016 here.
Glass in fact has been recently rediscovered in interior with a wide diffusion: with new furniture collections by the most important brands in coloured glass, with interior solutions in glass. Thinking for example of glazed partitions or of glass splashbacks for the kitchen, which are an easy and stylish way to add a new dimension of decor into the room with modern colors and very easy to clean.
In the furniture design and in graphic design, recently I spotted lots of these iridescent design and color effects, that’s to say that beautiful effect of colors gradation created when light in strikes transparent surfaces. Fresh and bright colors, as light as the clothes we are wearing in this period, vivid but not strong. Perfect in glazed surfaces, but also used on metals for example.
