This Thursday let’s fly far away, to Singapore, for a refined and original dinner.
Odette Restaurant is design restaurant in Singapore located next to the National Art Gallery and it takes its name from the grandmother of its chef, Julien Royer.
The interiors were designed by London Universal Design Studio with an elegant and feminine style, thanks to a palette of muted colors with predominance of powder pink. The pink uniforms the interior in a very contemporary space, despite the use classic architectural shapes and features. The main materials are the terrazzo flooring, in pink, natural wood, gray velvet and brass, but also the glass which leaves the kitchen open top visitors.
The restaurant lightness is emphasized by lots of butterflies hanging from the ceiling, created in collaboration with artist Dawn Ng (this is my favourite feature indeed)
But…I still have to tell you the most important thing: soon I’m flying to Singapore for real, because it will our summer travel destination together with Malaysia! I’m counting the days and look for advice from those of you who have already been there, or who knows, maybe are reading this blog from there!

Questo giovedi voliamo lontano, a Singapore, per una cena virtuale in un ristorante dall‘interior design originale e raffinato.
Odette Restaurant è un nuovissimo ristorante di design a Singapore e si trova a fianco della National Art Gallery e prende il nome dalla nonna del suo chef, Julien Royer.
Gli interni sono stati progettati dallo studio londinese Universal Design Studio con uno stile elegante e molto femminile, grazie alla palette di tinte soft in cui sopra a tutto domina il rosa cipria. Il rosa uniforma gli spazi e rende il design molto contemporaneo, nonostante l’utilizzo di forme che rimandando chiaramente all’architettura classica. I materiali principali sono il pavimento in terrazzo, anch’esso rosa, il legno naturale, il velluto grigio e l’ottone, ma anche il vetro che lascia a vista la cucina.
La leggerezza del locale è enfatizzata da tante farfalle stilizzate che scendono dal soffitto, realizzate in collaborazione con l’artista Dawn Ng.
Devo ancora dirvi però la cosa più importante: tra poco a Singapore ci volerò davvero, perché sarà la destinazione del nostro viaggio estivo assieme alla Malesia! Ora aspetto tanti consigli da chi di voi ci è già stato, o chissà, magari che legge il blog proprio da li!
