Details do make the difference, when talking about interior design.
Design handles are that typical small detail which is hard to find and I must say most of the ones I find in the shops are either too decorated or too simple, without any personality. And lots of people I know go for diy solutions since they can’t find knobs or handles they’d love to buy.
For a long time, the trend has leaned toward handleless kitchens. However, according to the latest interior trends handles and knobs are now hugely back.
When I discovered the new amazing design handles collection by Rikke Frost for furnipart I suddenly pinned it among my fav and thought I’d share it here on the blog.

Le maniglie sono quel tipico dettaglio difficile da trovare e io devo dirvi che spesso non sono contenta di quelle che trovo nei negozi: o sono troppo decorate, oppure troppo semplici e industriali. Tante persone che conosco optano per soluzioni diy proprio per questo motivo.
Non so se l’avete notato, ma per molto anni il trend è stato quello di avere cucine rigorosamente senza maniglie. Oggi invece maniglie e pomelli sono tornati, eccome, e non solo come elemento funzionale, ma come oggetto che dà un tocco di valore in più allo spazio
Per questi motivi quando ho scoperto la nuova collezione di maniglie della designer danese Rikke Frost per furnipart l’ho subito pinnata tra i preferiti e pensato di condividerla qui con voi.

Something about furnipart
If you still don’t know the brand, first some history:
The brand was founded back in 1977 when Danish Lars Ole Hansen created a small business at home selling a collection of wooden handles in teak, rosewood, oak, maple and beech. The company grew quickly, especially during the 80’s with the use of plastic materials. In the 90’s the brand evolved by using metal for their design handles, and by 2001 the company had become huge with a head office on a 10,000 square metre site in Hinnerup, north of Aarhus, designed by Architect Tommy Falch.
At present, furnipart is market leader within Northern Europe, with distributors in over 50 Countries.
The design philosophy:
Less is more. Uncomplicated is good.
These are some of the key design principles of the company. The Danish are the masters when talking about minimalism and about creating great design with the less is more concept. furnipart indeed works with several designers to find out solutions for handles and knobs, which can be both functional and beautiful!

Se non lo conoscete, prima un po’ di storia:
Il brand nasce nel 1977 quando il Danese Lars Ole Hansen apre un piccolo negozio in casa vendendo maniglie di legno di diverse essenze. Da piccolo negozio l’attività si trasforma preso in una piccola azienda, e soprattutto negli Anni Ottanta cresce notevolmente grazie all’utilizzo della plastica per la creazione delle maniglie. Negli Anni Novanta l’azienda compie un ulteriore step verso la produzione di maniglie metalliche, fino a diventare nel 2001 un brand con una sede produttiva di oltre 10.000 metri quadri con sede a Hinnerup, nella provincia nord Aarhus, e progettata dall’architetto danese Tommy Falch.
Ad oggi, furnipart è leader assoluto del settore nel Nord Europa, con distributori in oltre 50 Paesi.
La filosofia:
Less is more. Uncomplicated is good.
Questi alcuni dei principi chiave del brand. Lo sappiamo, i danesi sono maestri del Less is More e del creare spazi pazzeschi con pochi elementi. furnipart collabora con numerosi designer proprio per creare soluzioni minimali, funzionali e belle!
furnipart latest collection by Rikke Frost
For their latest handles collections, the brand started a collaboration with a Danish female Rikke Frost. Her feminine touch is evident in the three collections, in different ways, but always with that lighteness and minimalism typical of the Danish design.
Edge Filigree remembers the texture of foliage. It’s a very light yet sturdy element, folded to be easy to handle, and decorative in a refined way.
Edge Wood is also a folded handle, but in this case completed with a rounded wooden profile. Available in inox with oak, or brushed anthracite with walnut.
Metro is the collection for the fans of glam style, BUT with a very clean decor. I’m not a fan of all things bright and glitter you know, and I love how the glam twist here is given by just some small holes.

la nuova collezione di Rikke Frost per furnipart
Per le sue ultimissime collezioni il brand ha iniziato una collaborazione con la designer danese Rikke Frost. E il tocco femminile è evidente in tutte le tre proposte, in maniera differente, ma sempre con quella leggerezza e quel minimalismo tipici del design danese (e che a me tanto piacciono).
Edge Filigree ricorda la texture di una foglia. Un elemento sottile e allo stesso tempo resistente, curvato per essere più semplice da afferrare, un oggetto che decora ma in modo molto raffinato.
Edge Wood è anch’essa una maniglia curva, ma in questo caso termina con un sottile profilo in legno circolare. Disponibile in rovere o noce.
Metro è la collezione per chi ama lo stile glam, MA con un design minimale e pulito. Lo sapete, io proprio non amo tutte le varie cose glitterate e brillantinate, e mi piace molto come un effetto glam qui sia ottenuto solo grazie ad una serie di piccoli fori tondi.
