Boutique hotel in Lisbon : my stay at Inspira Santa Marta
When I saw Inspira Santa Marta facade I couldn’t imagine the real dimensions of this hotel.
The boutique hotel is located in the Coração de Jesus district in Lisbon, within a walking distance from Praça Marques de Pombal. Indeed, the hotel is also close to Avenida de Liberdade. This avenue which was defined by Fernando Pessoa as the most beautiful street in Lisbon. The original building dated back to end the end of the 18th century. The facade is an example of Baroque and civil Pombal architecture and it was restorated a few years ago by keeping the original architecture.
Inspira Santa Marta boutique hotel has 89 rooms, including two rooms for disabled people. In the building thre are also a restaurant, a wellness center and two meeting rooms.
Inspira Santa Marta interior design is clean and modern, with lot of wood and light.

Boutique hotel a Lisbona : il mio soggiorno a Inspira Santa Marta
Vedendo la facciata di Inspira Santa Marta non mi sarei mai immaginata le dimensioni reali di questo hotel al suo interno.
Questo boutique hotel si trova nella arte più “alta” di Lisbona, quella vicina alla grande rotonda di Marques Pombal e alla Avenida da Liberdade. Avenida da Liberdade è stata definita dal poeta Fernando Pessoa “La più bella via di Lisbona“. L’hotel occupa un palazzo datato fine Ottocento in classico stile “pombalino”, restaurato qualche anno fa portando alla luce le caratteristiche originarie della facciata.
Inspira Santa Marta è un boutique hotel di quattro piani e di 89 stanze, con un ristorante per 80 ospiti, un centro benessere aperto al pubblico e due sale riunioni.
Gi interni di Inspira Santa Marta sono moderni e minimali, con tanto legno e spazi grandi e luminosi.

Inspira Santa Marta boutique hotel in Lisbon, the interior design
You feel like there are positive vibes in this bright and spacious interior, that’s why it is called an “urban oasis”. Therefore, here everything here echoes an idea of wellness. The design is contemporary and bright, the scent which floods in the space is fresh.
Design, style and positive vibes, with an interior decor inspired by the principles of Feng-Shui. Indeed, all rooms have been designed with 5 different categories, inspired by the five elements. Earth, Water, Fire, Metal and Wood. These moods are defined by five different interiors: indeed, distinguished by five color schemes, fabrics, materials, fragrances.
Our room was designed around the Wood concept. In fact, it had cork flooring, tree silk-screen printings on the bathroom dividers, green textiles and lot of natural wood.

Un’energia positiva sembra accoglierti all’interno dell’hotel, definito infatti “oasi urbana”.
L’interior design di Inspira Santa Marta è stato interamente studiato secondo i principi del feng-shui. Le stanze si ispirano agli elementi tradizionali della cultura cinese, Terra, Acqua, Fuoco, Metallo e Legno. Le camere infatti hanno lo stesso stile ma si differenziano per colori e dettagli ricercati ricreando cinque ambientazioni diverse, e differenti esperienze sensoriali per gli ospiti.
La nostra camera ad esempio era ispirata al tema del legno: pavimento in sughero, serigrafie di alberi sulla partizione tra bagno e camera, tessuti con stampe naturali e legno caldo.

Many practical tools and solutions, such as a lighting system modulated in different functions for day& night, together with smart design details, such as the continuous wooden element which unifies bedroom and bathrooms and gives continuity to the room, which looks bigger.

Ai principi del feng-shui Inspira Santa Marta accosta una tecnologia di ultima generazione. Inoltre, tanti dettagli di design garantiscono da un lato comfort e benessere, dall’altro un grande risparmio energetico. Il sistema di illuminazione ad esempio è calibrato in base alle differenti funzioni in modo da evitare consumi inutili di corrente elettrica. Il layout delle stanze è aperto e dinamico, grazie al bagno reso continuo rispetto alla camera da un unico elemento di arredo in legno.

My favourite space of the hotel is the Mediterranean brasserie. It’s the perfect place to have dinner if you are looking for a gluten free restaurant.
Indeed, the Open Brasserie Mediterrânica is one of the few Gluten Free Certificated restaurants in Lisbon. The restaurant has a Mediterranean inspired cuisine with the best fresh local ingredients. I love the interior desig, with its natural mood and an cozy atmosphere.

La mia parte preferita dell’hotel è però la brasseria mediterranea.
Open Brasserie Mediterrânica è uno dei pochi ristoranti gluten-free certificati a Lisbona. La cucina è Mediterranea con ingredienti locali freschissimi e diversi in tutti i periodo dell’anno. L’interno è davvero accogliente, anche qui progettato secondo i principi del feng-shui e con spazi aperti ed ariosi.
An eco-friendly hotel in Lisbon
Inspira Santa Marta Hotel is involved in many interesting eco- friendly initiatives and partnerships in Lisbon.
For example, by drinking the Inspira Water, customers are helping the hotel on the co-sponsoring of water pumps in Africa. The project, in partnership with Pump Aid , aims to the the construction of Water Pumps and Fittings Elephant in Africa. The Open Brasserie is also committed with No Waste Project, that provides those in need with food.
Therefore, there’s more than design and beauty in this boutique hotel.

Un hotel eco-friendly hotel a Lisbona
Inspira Santa Marta inoltre partecipa a molte iniziative benefiche e green.
Tra queste, ad esempio, va ricordata la vendita dell’acqua Inspira Water, i cui proventi finanziano il progetto Pump Aid per la creazione di nuove pompe d’acqua nell’Africa sub-sahariana. La Open Brasserie invece partecipa a Zero Waste, un movimento atto a contrastare lo spreco di cibo.
