You will have for sure noticed how coloured walls, like green wall paint, are becoming on trend again.
Among all colours, in fact, shades of green stand out everywhere on the internet, together with all the colours inspired by nature, as a consequence of the biophylic design trend. Relaxing and calming colours together with soft and natural materials give the interiors a welcoming and cosy feel, improving our daily well-being.
I’ve collected in this post some interesting hues of greens, from the light, to the medium, to the moody and dark one, that will be a huge trend in 2020 according to the latest trend forecasting.

COLOR TRENDS 2020 / 5 Greens to try next year
1 / SCHOOLHOUSE GREEN
According to Emily Henderson, this saturated mid-tone green is a reminiscent of chalkboards and school furniture, that’s where it takes its name from. Deeper and richer than mint, more subdued than emerald, it is the perfect green to create bright accents and add some character to an interior.
2 / TRANQUIL DAWN GREEN
For Sikkens this green called “Tranquil Dawn” will be the color of 2020. According to Heleen Van Gent, Creative Director Global Aesthetic Center, Tranquil Dawn is ” Reminiscent of the colours of the morning sky and encapsulating our desire to treasure our most human qualities, which we’ll need in the new decade we are entering. Our trend research shows that people want to care, be playful, search for meaning, and be creative “. A soft and pastel green, perfect in combination with neutral and warm colors.

3 / OLIVE GREEN
With greens coming back a lot, I think that olive green is the perfect middle ground between greens and warm hues, making it perfect to be incorporated in many different interiors. Beautiful for example for the headboard wall, paired with wood and Vienna straw.

4 / FIR GREEN
Deep, dark and moody, but also replenishing, fortifying and healing. According to Michelle Ogundhein, fir green is one of the key greens to try now and in 2020.
5 / NEO-MINT GREEN
We already talked about Neo-mint as the color for 2020 in this post at the beginning of the year. Neo mint is a fresh tone of green that has a cool futuristic feel thought to be fit for the new decade ahead; in fact, it is a colour chosen to harmonize science and technology with nature. In addition to this, neo mint brings some nostalgia “the past”, while at the same time taking into consideration the “present” and forward thinking to the future too.
