My daily crush is this holiday cottage design in Bolig Magasinet.
The home is located in Vejby, Denmark, and owned by Kristian Lillelund of Rum4 and his family. The building is a traditional summer cottage from the 1960s of 55 sqm in wood, which the designer transformed in an unique design cottage with a very personal style.
The furnishing is a mix of vintage finds, as for example the Bertoia chairs, plus custom design by Rum4 studio. But the really unique feature of this summer home is its color palette: Kristian is not afraid of bold colors and he is deeply inspired by designers such as Verner Panton, George Nelson and Charles Eames. He chose a bold shade of sky blue, to be matched with a violet accent in the living, and this sets the palette for the whole house by adding a modern and lively touch in a traditional setting.
Wood and fibreboard panels complete the design of this simple but surprising home.

Il mio colpo di fulmine di oggi è per questo cottage per le vacanze da poco pubblicato su Bolig Magasinet.
L’edificio si trova a Vejby, Danimarca, ed i proprietari sono Kristian Lillelund dello studio Rum4 e la sua famiglia. Si tratta di un tradizionale cottage in legno degli anni Sessanta di 55 metri quadri, che il designer ha personalizzato con interni originali e contemporanei.
L’arredo è un mix di pezzi vintage, come ad esempio le sedie Bertoia, e di arredi disegnato dallo studio Rum4. Ma ciò che rende davvero originale questa casa vacanze è senza dubbio la palette di colore: Kristian non è di certo restio ad osare con il colore e si ispira a icone del design come Verner Panton, George Nelson e Charles Eames. Ha infatti scelto per questa piccola casa una tonalità accesa di celeste, abbinata al viola nel living, e che dalla cucina detta la palette generale per tutta la casa, aggiungendo un tocco vivace e molto originale.
Legno e pannelli mdf completano gli interni di questa casa semplice ma dal design sorprendente.
