Ljublana has been a surprise for me. Maybe because its proximity and its small dimensions (very similar to my own town, Treviso), I’ve never taken it into consideration before. Instead, I’ve discovered a lively and beautiful city, with young population (just think that of a population of 300,000, around 50,000 are students!) and many interesting shops.
The city centre lies in an area called ‘three squares district’, with a beautiful historical architecture that reminded me sometimes of Northern Italy alpine cities (very similar to Merano in some corners), sometimes to Austriac ones, even if there’s nothing in common here with Vienna opulence.
Today, let’s come with the Pink Dog for a Ljubljana visit along its alleys, among its pastel architectures, its original shop windows, and inside some design shops (some of them didn’t allow me to take pictures…so you have to go by person ;)…. !
