HOME TOUR | The perfect shades of grey in a Scandi home

The interior trend is to go to towards dark interiors and we all know this, already spoke here earlier this year and here in the top interior trends for autumn winter. But what do you think, are you still in the mood for total white or are you daring with darker options, perhaps opting for gray and black interiors?

As always, I think there is nothing absolute, and that the choices must be done more according to your taste and to the project itself, then just by following the trends. What is for sure is that there are really a lot of beautiful samples out there embracing this moody interior trend.

Let’s go for example today in a beautiful Scandinavian house, founded on Hitta Hem, which I think as a fantastic sample of how to decorate with grey interior paint: vamos!

Che la tendenza vada ormai sia di andare verso interni sempre più scuri è ormai risaputo, ma voi che ne dite, siete ancora per il total white o state cedendo nell’osare- per casa vostra o magari per delle proposte per clienti- delle soluzioni più scure, magari optando per grigio e nero?

Io come sempre penso che non ci sia nulla di assoluto e che le scelte non vadano fatte seguendo le tendenze alla cieca. Certo è che in rete ci sono un sacco di esempi molto belli di ispirazione per abbracciare questa tendenza verso grigio, nero e tinte moody, anche se non sono di certo colori facili da osare.

Oggi vi porto ad esempio in questa casa Scandinava, scovata su Hitta Hem, che secondo me è un esempio fantastico di come decorare con i toni del grigio: vamos!

The risk of a gray interior palette is obviously to have a cold and unwelcoming interior, and nobody loves to live in a space like this right?

I really like how in this Scandi living grey has been pared with wood, in a warm and natural tone, on flooring and furniture, and to other natural materials such as hemp and leather: in this way, greys were muted and the result is an interior which is perfectly balanced and cozy. The bedroom instead is a sample of how to play with different grey interior hues: not just on walls, but with different fabrics for curtains and bed.

Personally it’s quite hard for me to think about my bedroom in such a dark palette, but these images fascinate me a lot and think are a wonderful inspiration for a grey touch…do you agree or not?

Il rischio di osare con tonalità di grigio è ovviamente quello di rendere un interno troppo freddo e poco accogliente, e a nessuno piacerebbe vivere in una casa fredda fredda, vero?

Mi piace molto come in questa casa scandinava che ho scelto per l’home tour di oggi il grigio è stato accostato al legno, in tonalità calda e naturale, sia a pavimento che nella maggior parte degli arredi, e altri materiali naturali come canapa e cuoio: in questo modo i grigi vengono smorzati e il risultato è un interno perfettamente bilanciato ed accogliente. La camera invece è un vero e proprio esempio di come accostare diverse tonalità di grigio: non solo a parete, ma anche giocando con diversi tessuti per letto e tende.

Personalmente farei fatica ad immaginare per casa mia un ambiente così scuro, ma ciò non toglie che queste immagini mi affascinano un sacco e sono un bellissima ispirazione sul tema dei grigi…che ne dite?
