with textiles
The best way to personalize an interior? Investing on textiles, first cushions and blankets; would think just on a second time on curtains as this must be on size and maybe you could not reuse them in the next home.
You can also choose to work on neutral colours matching different fabrics and pattern, if you want to be sure to reuse them in your next home.
Il modo più efficace per personalizzare e rendere più accogliente una casa in affitto? Spendere un po’ di tempo (e denaro) per comprare dei bei cuscini e delle coperte, mentre alle tende penserei in un secondo tempo o comunque non ci spenderei troppo dato che necessitano di essere fatte su misura (e non è detto che poi vi vadano bene in un’altra casa!)
Cuscini di diverse forme e dimensioni, giocando più su pattern e tessuti diversi che sui colori, che potrebbero restare anche in tonalità neutre.

with one statement wall decor
We all love wall galleries (find more about how to create a gallery wall here) but maybe filling your landlord’s home with holes on the wall is not the best solution, do you agree?
Much better choosing one single piece of wall decor for your wall, be original and consider there are really lots of options. And if you can’t quite the idea of a gallery wall with many different images, consider different ideas also for this: as in the picture, you can hang many photos with just one single point!
A un po’ tutti piace l’idea di decorare casa, proprio la parete più importante del soggiorno magari, con una bella gallery wall di quadri e immagini ( qui trovate il post dedicato). Ma probabilmente al vostro padrone di casa non piacerà molto l’idea di trovarsi con una parete costellata di buchi e poi rattoppata, immagino.
Quindi molto meglio decorare sì ma con un unico pezzo che da sè basti a definire lo stile, ci sono tantissime idee originali da poter prendere in considerazione. E non solo il classico “quadro grande”: guardate ad esempio queste due foto, nel primo caso è stato appeso un tappeto, nel secondo invece è stata creata una gallery di foto con un unico punto per appenderla. Giocate con la fantasia!

As said for cushions and blankets, invest also on rugs. They decorate and warm up the space, also can be maybe reused in your next home. Why not daring with different layers of rus, for a more bohemien style?
Qui vale un po’ quanto detto al punto uno, mai privarsi di un tappeto. Certo non è detto che potrete poi riutilizzarlo altrove, ma trovo sia davvero fondamentale per rendere uno spazio più accogliente e personale. C’è chi gioca addirittura con più tappeti creando dei veri e propri layer diversi, che ve ne pare?

You do not have necessarily to paint walls (here a post about painting walls or not at home): if you want to decorate them, there are several different options out there.
Consider for example wall decals , or also do your own decor with washi tape!
Non è che uno debba per forza colorare le pareti per dare un tocco di personalità alla casa (qui ne ho scritto un post in merito alle pareti colorate), ci sono tante altre opzioni meno invasive.
Considerate ad esempio anche le decorazioni a sticker, oppure il washi tape!

with original cabinet pulls
You probably already found your kitchen and bathroom furniture in your rented home and of course can’t change them.
But one simple option to put your own personality here may be to personalize the handles, why not for example with leather pulls as seen here or with new colourful knobs?
Rassegnatevi, se avete già trovato cucina e bagno non è che potete fare molto per cambiarne i mobili (a meno che il vostro padrone di casa non sia d’accordo con interventi drastici!)
Ma un’idea carina e semplice potrebbe essere ad esempio quella di personalizzare i pomelli e le maniglie, magari tipo queste in pelle di cui vi parlavo qualche tempo fa?

Consider using baskets, boxes, other storage solutions that can be moveable but also good looking.
And of course Ikea is always a great source for affordable bookcases, shelves and organizing solutions, and in the net you can find amazing Ikea hacks to personalize your furniture in cheap ways.
Di sicuro avrete bisogno di acquistare qualcosa che serva come contenitore, e che potrete anche riutilizzare una volta cambiata casa.
E poi ovviamente c’è sempre Ikea che nel campo dell’organizzazione di casa è sempre il massimo. Non vi piace avere i mobili uguali al resto del mondo? Ci sono tantissime idee in rete per personalizzarli, basta fare una ricerca con le paroline “ikea hack“!

with versatile or temporary pieces
Be creative with your furniture, you don’t need spending a fortune to have a pleasant home interior. Pallets and wooden boxes are perfect for this!
Non serve spendere una fortuna per arredare casa, soprattutto se non è la casa della vita. pallet e cassette in legno ad esempio sono sempre una bella idea per arredare casa con pochi soldi e con gusto!

Consider about laying objects on the floor and on shelves, more than hanging them. Mirrors, big prints, posters, canvas look great also without being hung on walls!
Mi ricollego al punto 2, dicendovi che quadri, specchi e oggetti che generalmente pensiamo come appesi alla parete non devono necessariamente essere appesi. Fanno un bellissimo effetto decorativo anche gli specchi appoggiati a terra, oppure i quadri appoggiati a mensole e mobili: tenetelo in considerazione prima di armarvi di trapano!
