Trends and colours from Habitare fair in Helsinki

::

I’m writing today back from an inspiring week in Helsinki, full of images and news fresh for you.

It has been great to visit Finland again, with sunny days (again! I’m lucky, I know) and lots of great people.

I had the chance to visit Habitare, the leading design event of Finland, for my first time. For someone as I am used to visit crazy Milan Salone del Mobile, this Habitare fair was much more relaxed and in human scale. I enjoied time for coffees, time to talk with people, even time to talk on stage (yes! I did it). Also, I found lots of interesting design and such inspiring stylings and settings. Finnish can really do well on this.

If you are thinking of a fair in black and white, as Nordic does, in Habitare there was much more. Lots of new trends and colours, inspiring spaces, material matches. Eco design and wood were the leaders, together with new interesting moods and colours.

My favourite space was The Signals one: created by trend analyst Susanna Björklund, the exhibition focused on megatrends of decor and design.

The exhibit was divided into four different spaces, called Design, art or both? – Inhouse love – Comfortable chaos – Common roots, furnished with interesting mix of new and vintage furniture, handmade products, colours and accessories, to represent home trends.

And I was so surprised to find many things I talked you about last week in the posts hottest home trends for a/w 2016 here and here !

So just go through the images and let me know in comments what inspires you the most 🙂
