New week start, are still still at work or maybe are you reading this blog for some vacation spot? I have two busy weeks ahead, need to close so many things before leaving for August holidays (we hope so!) …ok so let’s take a five minute break together in a very relaxing place? As for every Monday we stay in Italy, in a new dreamy vacation interior.
This time we go to Marche region: near the beautiful cities of Urbino and Gubbio, but also close to the Adriatic coast.
Malatesta Maison is a design hotel located in an old farmhouse of 1485, once this building was the holiday willa of the Malatesta of Rimini. After a long period of neglect, thanks to a beautiful restoration the building has turned back to life and again as an holiday destination, where to rest in the peace of the countryside.

Nuova settimana alle porte, siete ancora al lavoro o magari leggete già da qualche luogo di villeggiatura? Io ho davanti due settimane intense, con tante cose da concludere prima di partire per le vacanze (speriamo!)…ci prendiamo cinque minuti di pausa insieme? Anche questo lunedì restiamo in Italia, in un altro interno da sogno per le vacanze.
Stavolta andiamo nelle Marche: a due passi dalle splendide città di Urbino e Gubbio, ma anche vicino alla riviera Adriatica.
Malatesta Maison è un hotel di design situato in un antico casale del 1485, un tempo alloggio di villeggiatura del Malatesta di Rimini. Dopo un lungo abbandono, grazie a un bellissimo restauro l’edificio è tornato a vivere con la destinazione d’uso originaria, appunto come luogo di vacanza per riposare nella tranquillità delle campagne marchigiane.
The building was restored following the bio-architecture principles, turned into a design hotel with six bedrooms one different from the other, carefully decorated with objects found around flea markets in Italy by the owners.
My favorite room however the large dining room, I love how it is furnished in a simple yet cozy way with few pieces: a large chest of drawers, a big wooden table with white Eames Plastic chairs. Love the idea of hanging some bistro chairs on the walls as a decor piece, and also the bulb lights hanging over the table. This hotel is really full of nice little details to take as inspiration, what do you think?

Restaurato secondo i principi della bioarchitettura, l’hotel dispone di sei camere una diversa dall’altra, arredate con cura con oggetti trovati dai proprietari in giro per mercatini in Italia.
La mia stanza preferita resta comunque l’ampia sala da pranzo, mi piace moltissimo com’è stata arredata con pochi pezzi di arredo: una grande cassettiera, tavolo in legno ed sedie Eames Plastic in bianco. Molto originale l’idea di utilizzare le sedie da bistrot come decorazione appendendole alle pareti, ma anche le lampadine a bulbo appese sopra al tavolo, davvero questo hotel è pieno di piccoli bei dettagli di cui prendere nota!
