Shall we start the week with something inspiring and special from Italy, to dream for a while about summer holidays?
This design trullo in Puglia is located in Ceglie Messapica, in the heart of Valle d’Itria, the region famous worldwide for its typical houses called trulli ( you will learn something more about trulli in Apulia here ). An historical trullo has been completely restored and converted into a minimalist and welcoming B&B, by the name of Fikus. The story is the one of two Apulian guys, Luisa and Francesco, who met in Brussels and after many years living abroad came back to their Puglia and realized their dream of living among the countryside by running this b&b.
In this design trullo they wanted to mix the traditional Apulian mood with a world-wide charm.
The result is the choice of a total white, which is the main palette of the rooms and the colour of traditional Apulian interiors, but filled with many original details from flea markets and Etsy to add a very personal vintage touch.
Enjoy the virtual tour!
