The “ceramic district” is an area between Sassuolo and Modena, where most of the Italian production in this industry is located: it is a fast growing district, also thanks to the latest technologies that made ceramic stoneware one of the most appreciated materials in architecture and design.

During the last Cersaie 2017 we had the opportunity to visit the New Caesar Gallery, the showroom by Ceramiche Caesar in Fiorano Modenese, during a dedicated event that took place on September 26th evening.
The new showroomhas an area of 1200 square meters and it is located in the Ceramiche Caesar production site. It is almost four times larger than the previous one, to answer to the most current needs of the company and customers, and to reflect the remarkable development of the brand during recent years.

Il “distretto della ceramica” è una zona compresa tra Sassuolo e Modena, dove si concentra gran parte della produzione italiana in materia di rivestimenti e pavimenti ceramici: un distretto in forte crescita, anche grazie alle ultime tecnologie che hanno reso la ceramica uno dei materiali ad oggi più apprezzati nell’architettura.

Durante lo scorso Cersaie 2017 abbiamo avuto modo di visitare la New Caesar Gallery, ovvero l’ampliamento dello showroom Ceramiche Caesar a Fiorano Modenese, in un evento dedicato che si è svolto nella serata di 26 Settembre.
Il nuovo spazio espositivo si sviluppa in una superficie di 1200 metri quadri e si trova all’interno della sede produttiva Ceramiche Caesar. Quasi quattro volte più grande del precedente spazio, esso risponde alle necessità più attuali di azienda e clienti, e riflette il notevole sviluppo del marchio degli ultimi anni.
New Caesar Gallery
The New Caesar Gallery‘s layout is designed to bring the visitors on a circular path and to see and touch the wide range of products. The style is contemporary, almost futuristic when showing CaesarTech‘s solutions in the first part of the showroom, and it perfectly fits the brand philosophy. Several different rooms with an open side show the stoneware collections, ranging from geometric proposals, marble, wood, concrete effects and all Caesar’s range.
The most scenic space for sure is the big room dedicated to Project Evolution: the collection includes very large sizes, now in the new 160×320 and 160×160 cm endless, and they are exposed as real artworks both on the walls and in large sculptures in the middle of the room.

Gli interni della New Caesar Gallery sono stati progettati per invitare il visitatore a compiere un percorso circolare e toccare con mano la vasta gamma di prodotti dell’azienda. Lo stile è contemporaneo, quasi futuristico, e perfettamente in linea con le soluzioni tecnologiche di CaesarTech mostrate nella prima parte dello showroom. Diverse stanze con un lato aperto mostrano le varie collezioni, che spaziano ad esempio da proposte geometriche, al gres effetto cemento, al gres effetto legno.
Lo spazio più scenografico è certamente l’ ampia sala dedicata alle grandi lastre di Project Evolution: le lastre, ora nei nuovi formati 160×320 e 160×160 cm endless, sono esposte come vere e proprie opere d’arte sia alle pareti che in grandi sculture a centro stanza.
An interesting initiative promoted by Ceramiche Caesar this year was the Cross Design Contest, a design contest for young designers and architects.
Cross Design is an annual magazine published since 2015 and dedicated to new interior design trends, which are found by the Development and Research team: Cross Design Contest designers were asked to give a creative interpretation of one between the three top trends for this year.
The winning project, “Elegant Contrast” by Luca Pavaglianiti, was then realized within the New Caesar Gallery space: it is a relax corner with a contemporary and functional design that perfectly reflects the brand aesthetics.

Un’interessante iniziativa promossa da Ceramiche Caesar quest’anno è stato il Cross Design Contest, un concorso di design aperto a giovani progettisti.
Cross Design è un magazine annuale dedicato ai trend emergenti dell’interior design individuati dal team Sviluppo e Ricerca dal 2015: ai partecipanti del Cross Design Contest è stato richiesto di reinterpretare in maniera creativa proprio una delle tre tendenze di quest’anno.
Il progetto vincitore, “Elegant Contrast” di Luca Pavaglianiti, è stato realizzato proprio all’interno degli spazi della New Caesar Gallery: si tratta di un angolo relax dal design contemporaneo e funzionale che riflette perfettamente l’estetica del brand.

Cross Design Contest Winning project
On the first floor, up on a scenic helix scale in total white, you can access to the “Architect Room“: it is a workspace designed for Caesar technicians, architects and professionals, with a material library and several multimedia contents.
Finally, in the garden there is an area dedicated to the outdoor porcelain stoneware collections, which was extended as well comparing to the previous one.

Al piano superiore, al quale si accede tramite una scenografica scala elicoidale, si trova infine la “Architect Room” : uno spazio di lavoro per progettisti e tecnici Caesar, con biblioteca materiali e contenuti multimediali.
All’esterno si trova infine uno spazio dedicato alle collezioni in gres porcellanato per l’outdoor, oggetto di un notevole ampliamento rispetto al precedente.
