Time to Thank You + Summer Readings, the Pink Dog goes on vacation!

I really need some rest and relax! It has been an amazing year, with so many collaborations and projects, working with great clients, brands, agencies, colleagues. I think back to when I left my steady job I disliked, to undertake something 100% not steady but which makes me happy. I always dreamed about a job that could be 100% mine, working from anywhere, which could let me travel more and be creative, and finally looks like dreams are not so far to become true if you really work a lot and put passion in what you do.

Lot of work, more than luck, if you want to start your own business. In this post I talked about my freelance daily routine and I’m not pretending it’s all so easy and fun, I also had some low points and some moments when I thought ok I will never be able to do everything. This is the reason why there will be some news in Serptember, I basically realized I cannot do everything by myself, especially if I want to keep running this blog with same content quality I did. And I’m sure you will like this news ^_^

In this post (that’s is something like the end-of-the-year one) I want to thank some great brands which chose to work with me and the Pink Dog: Marazzi, Bertazzoni, Novellini, Furnipart, Etsy, Mapiful, Calligaris, Leroy Merlin, Sukhi Rugs, Peroni, The Poster Club, (sure I forgot somebody else). Other international ones, as Houzz, or other local ones in my small city, Treviso. WEBLOG fellow bloggers and travellers in some beautiful European design fairs, backwards: Clerkenwell Design Week in London , Milan Design Week 2017, ISH Frankfurt, Maison & Objet Paris , Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, Cersaie in Bologna, Habitare in Helsinki. Private clients I worked for interior design projects (sooner or later will find time to update my portfolio with five new projects) and all press agencies (sorry if sometimes I loose emails here and there).

The biggest thank you finally to you, who are following and reading this blog now!

See you at the end of August! Now it’s time for holidays: I will be travelling in Spain, in a road tour Valencia, Madrid e l’Andalusia, what about you?

Every summer we leave for a travel on-the-road: last year it was Malesia + Singapore here, the year before Portugal here. I love travelling by car because you can really stop and visit the places you prefer, even if ok I must admit I have already planned a lot and I have my notebook already filled with places to see and to go! A thank you also goes to my boyfriend for the patience, he would like to spend his holidays beaching himself somewhere and never moving, and then ahhahhh!!

ITALIANBARK va ufficialmente in vacanza!

Sento davvero il bisogno di staccare per un po’. E’ stato un anno incredibile, non avrei mai sperato neanche nelle mie migliori ipotesi di poter intraprendere così tante collaborazioni e progetti, di avere la soddisfazione di lavorare con i clienti, brand, agenzie, colleghi fantastici che ho incontrato lungo la mia strada virtuale e reale. Penso a quando ho lasciato il mio lavoro sostanzialmente sicuro ma che mi rendeva infelice, per intraprendere qualcosa al 100% insicuro che però mi rendeva molto felice. Nei miei sogni ho sempre voluto un lavoro che potesse essere al 100% mio, che non fosse legato a nessun luogo, mi permettesse di viaggiare di più e di esprimere la mia creatività. Alla fine, i sogni non sono così impossibili se ci si impegna davvero.

Ci vuole tanto tanto lavoro ed impegno per portare avanti un lavoro che ci siamo creati da soli, di qualsiasi lavoro si tratti, e la fortuna c’entra molto poco in tutto ciò. In questo post vi davo un po’ un’idea di quello che faccio in una giornata tipo, e non vi nascondo che in questo ultimo periodo ho avuto anche dei momenti di sconforto in cui ho pensato di non riuscire a fare tutto. Per questo motivo a Settembre ci saranno delle novità proprio qui nel blog perché se c’è una cosa che ho capito in questo ultimo periodo è che non riesco a fare tutto da sola, soprattutto se voglio portare avanti questo blog con la qualità che lo ha contraddistinto fino ad oggi. Ma ve ne parlo meglio al ritorno: sono sicura che questa novità vi piacerà ^_^

Con questo post (che per me è un po’ al posto di quello di fine anno a dicembre) voglio innanzitutto ringraziare alcune delle collaborazioni più importanti che hanno scelto quest’anno di lavorare con me e con il cagnetto rosa: Marazzi, Bertazzoni, Novellini, Furnipart, Etsy, Mapiful, Calligaris, Leroy Merlin, Sukhi Rugs, Peroni, The Poster Club, (sicuro ho dimenticato qualcuno). Poi altre collaborazioni, internazionali come quella con Houzz, oppure con belle realtà locali della mia città, Treviso. Il collettivo WEBLOG nonché le mie compagne di viaggio (e di avventure!) nelle fiere di settore più importanti, andando a ritroso: la Clerkenwell Design Week a Londra, la Milano Design Week 2017, ISH a Francoforte, Maison & Objet a Parigi, la Dutch Design Week ad Eindhoven, il Cersaie a Bologna, Habitare ad Helsinki. I clienti privati per cui ho lavorato con consulenze di progettazione di interni (prima o poi troverò il tempo di aggiornare il mio portfolio lavori con cinque nuovi progetti) e le agenzie stampa (con cui mi scuso se spesso perdo e-mail per strada).

Il grazie più grande va infine a te che leggi e segui questo blog!

Ci vedremo su queste pagine a fine Agosto: ora è tempo di vacanze, io nel frattempo sarò in viaggio per la Spagna, in un tour che toccherà Valencia, Madrid e l’Andalusia.

Ogni estate facciamo un viaggio più lungo e itinerante: l’anno scorso eravamo stati in Malesia e Singapore qui, l’anno prima in Portogallo qui. I viaggi on the road in auto secondo me sono i migliori perché puoi visitare città e piccoli paesi davvero in libertà, fermandoti dove più preferisci. Anche se non posso dirvi che partiremo all’avventura, visto che ho già un bel blocco pieno di appunti con cose da vedere, posti in cui alloggiare, cose da fare, e di suggerimenti che mi avete dato in pagina facebook (grazie a tutti!). Povero chi mi sopporta al mio fianco, dovete sapere che in realtà lui vorrebbe fare una vacanza di relax spiaggiato al mare…ringrazio per la pazienza ahhahhh!!
