HOME TOUR | 3 Japandi style interiors to be inspired by

We already talked about the Japandi style trend here some year ago. Since this is still one of the most relevant interior styles at present, I collected for you today some inspiring projects to be inspired by.

They all have in common a beautiful aesthetic which mixes the Scandinavian minimalism with Far-Eastern vibes typical of Japanese design.

3 Japandi style interiors to be inspired by

1 / A contemporary Japanese interior in Amsterdam

Taking a holistic approach, studio Mokkō transformed the living room of an Amsterdam Canal house into a warm interior, inspired by Japanese aesthetics. Using natural materials including French oak, walnut, rice paper, clay plaster and jute, they created a very serene space. The interior breaks with Western living room conventions and focuses on natural materials and the beauty of their imperfections of the wabi-sabi philosophy.

2 / A Swedish holiday home in Japandi style

Archipelago House is a pine-clad holiday home located on the coast of Sweden designed by Norm Architects . The interior embodies both Scandinavian and Japanese aesthetics: natural materials, muted colors, lots of natural oak and clean lines create a well balanced and serene interior space. The Japanese influence is clear also in the furniture design, that Norm Architects has produced in collaboration with Karimoku Case Study Japanese manufacturer.
