It is no secret that the Pink Dog is partial to England, generally speaking, and especially to London. He’s so pleased then to virtually host here a London based interior design studio that will take us into two beautiful high-end luxury homes.
First, a short introduction for the guests: Boscolo is an established luxury interior design team based in London, providing tailored interior design services for high-end residences. Boscolo interior design has gained prestige thanks also to many interior design awards, among them the Best Houzz 2015 Award and the UK Property Awards 2014, in several different categories.
Now, let’s go on a virtual home tour in two London luxury interiors the Pink Dog has selected for you for today’s “I’d like to live here”coloumn!

Non è un segreto che il cagnetto rosa ha un debole per l’Inghilterra, in generale. Ed è quindi felicissimo di ospitare oggi in questo spazio virtuale uno studio londinese di progettazione di interni, che ci farà fare un salto in due interni residenziali di Londra, ricchi di interessanti spunti progettuali.
Ma prima vi parlo un pò dei miei ospiti, lo studio Boscolo: un team con sede a Londra specializzato nella progettazione di interni di alto livello, lussuosi e sostenibili. Uno studio di progettazione che ha guadagnato prestigio anche grazie a una serie di riconoscimenti, tra cui il Best Houzz 2015 Award u l’ UK Property Awards 2014.
Ma curiosiamo ora in due loro progetti che ho scelto per “I’d like to live here” di oggi!
Boscolo londoner luxury interiors
| PETER HEATHFIELD HOUSE
This amazing penthouse is located in London and has been completely renovated by Boscolo Interior Design.
The interior design is full of smart spatial solutions, in reply to the owners’ need for a more flexible space and a complete interior revamp.
- Concept Design | The inspiration for the interior design came from the couple’s love of reading, and from their favorite music festival, the Secret Garden Party. In fact, the designer transformed one of the photos of an official photographer from the Secret Garden Party (Nick Caro) into a huge wall mural. It was from this starting point that the whole interior palette developed into a sophisticated and non-trivial interior colour palette.

Questa fantastica penthouse si trova a Londra ed è stata interamente riprogettata dal team di Boscolo.
L’interior design è pieno di interessanti soluzioni spaziali, che rispondono alla necessità dei proprietari di rinnovare gli interni rendendoli flessibili.
- Concept Design | L’idea nasce dalla passione dei proprietari per la lettura, in particolare dal loro musical preferito, The Secret Garden Party. Da questo è stata scelta la grande stampa murale che vedete, e che determina anche il resto della palette di colori, molto ricercata e per nulla banale, dello spazio interno.
- Spatial Design | The interior space is fluid and dynamic, with a huge open living space that brings together kitchen, living, reading, and office corners in a unique flexible space.
Indeed, here the kitchen corner is fully integrated into the living corner, with its unconventional kitchen without handles and its storage continuity.
The living space further develops with a reading/tv corner that was created from the space of the previous guests-bedroom. The designers have created here a smart flexible corner where a projector is incorporated into the ceiling, so this can transform into a tv-corner as well. But it can also transform a guest bedroom, as there’s a pull-down bed incorporated into the cabinetry behind the green armchair. This corner can further transform into an home office, as there’s a a compact workstation on its left that can also be stowed when guests arrive.

- Spatial Design | Lo spazio è fluido e dinamico, e si articola con fulcro il grande open space del living, che mette insieme cucina, soggiorno, ma anche angolo lettura, angolo studio, e una possibile stanza per gli ospiti.
Infatti, la cucina è perfettamente integrata con il resto dello spazio, grazie ad un design non convenzionale totalmente privo di maniglie e finiture in continuità con il resto del soggiorno.
In questo grande ambiente living è stato ricavato anche un angolo molto interessante, adibito a lettura/angolo tv, in uno spazio che un tempo era chiuso per la camera degli ospiti. Ora invece, un proiettore si può abbassare dal soffitto, in modo da fare diventare quest’angolo un angolo tv. Oppure, grazie ad un letto nascosto nell’armadio, e ai divisori bianchi, si può trasformare proprio in una camera per gli ospiti. infine, può diventare anche un angolo ufficio, grazie ad una scrivania compatta nascosta sempre tra le armadiature!
- Interior Style | The owners also desired a contemporary style, yet timeless finish for the interior, that’s why the designers introduced a few key designer pieces in this London interior, such as the Kartell Masters dining chairs, or the Italian Calligaris Omnia dining table. There are also some beautiful Moooi Cork stools here and there…. Because design is timeless, we know this!
The kitchen (by Shuller) is so full of innovative details that it really does not appear as a proper traditional kitchen. First, no tiles here on the backsplash, but a glossy turquoise glass (more turquoise inspirations here) – a practical and beautiful alternative to tiles. Second, no handles here, and a sleek finish!
No traditional timber flooring here either. The floor is made of cork with a vynil finish. An eco-friendly solution, besides that, a beautiful one.
Finally, the owners’ bedroom : this is the most luxury space, with a custom headboard designed by Boscolo team, and a natural decorative colour scheme. Greens, browns, in rich textures and fabrics.

- Interior Style | I proprietari volevano uno stile contemporaneo, ma che durasse nel tempo. Ecco il perchè di tanti elementi di arredo di design che vedete sparsi qua e là, perchè -come ben sappiamo- il design è una scelta che dura nel tempo. Tra questi, ad esempio le sedie Masters di Kartell, o il tavolo Omnia di Calligaris. Oppure, gli sgabelli Cork di Moooi…
La cucina è così piena di dettagli innovativi che quasi non sembra una cucina. Ad esempio, qui non ci sono piastrelle sulla parete dietro al piano di lavoro, ma un vetro turchese con finitura gloss…una pratica e bellissima alternativa appunto alle piastrelle.
Nemmeno il pavimento è il solito pavimento in legno. Si tratta invece di un pavimento in sughero con finitura plastica, che risponde a una precisa richiesta della committenza di utilizzare materiali eco-sostenibili.
Infine, la camera matrimoniale: è l’ambiente più lussuoso-quasi simile a una stanza di hotel-, grazie alla testiera progettata su misura, e alla ricercata palette di colori nei toni naturali del verde, del marrone e del porpora.

| GOLDHURST TERRACE SOUTH HAMPSTEAD
A spacious three bedroom, three bathroom, ground and lower ground floor maisonette with a private garden, that has been redesigned in order to sell it in a future. This is a sample of a smaller budget interior renovation by Boscolo team, instead. Where materials and finishes are the key elements of the design, with a strict timeline and budget.
- Interior Style | A contemporary and modern interior style, with a monochrome interior palette. Here, just whites and light greys, that have been matched with a few elements in dark wood. For example, the kitchen island stands out in its dark wood finish from the rest of the kitchen with a shiny totally white finish.

Questo interno invece è un esempio di una progettazione con un budget minore, sempre di studio Boscolo. Qui, i materiali e le finiture sono la chiave di tutto l’intero design, che ha comunque un aspetto lussuoso nonostante il ristretto budget ed i tempi di progettazione molto limitati.
Si tratta di una casa con tre camere, tre bagni, sviluppata su due piani e con un piccolo giardino esterno, anch’esso riprogettato da Boscolo.
- Interior Style | Uno stile contemporaneo e minimale, con una palette di colori monocromatica. La scelta è andata a bianco e grigio chiaro, assieme a qualche piccolo accento più scuro in legno. Ad esempio, l’isola centrale della cucina, che con la sua finitura risalta dal total white lucido dell’intera cucina a parete.
The monochrome palette here has been articulated into many different finishes solutions. For example, the use of a dark fretwork panelling to zone the kitchen from the hallway, becomes a key feature for all interior design. Take the wallpaper as another example, finished in white for the toilet, another unconventional but effective interior design solution. Or the 3d wall tiling, in total white, with a wave effect, for the other bathroom.

La palette monocromatica è stata resa più interessante in questo progetto da una serie di materiali più ricercati e insoliti. Un elemento caratteristico dell’interno ad esempio è il pannello divisorio tra cucina e disimpegno, con una particolare texture e una tinta scura. Andando nei bagni, troviamo ad esempio una bellissima carta da parati con motivo decorativo trompe d’oeil in total white nella toilette, mentre nell’altro servizio igenico sono state utilizzate delle piastrelle con effetto texture 3d, sempre in total white.
