September has already started – and you probably know that this is one of the busiest months related to events and fairs in our industry.
Sharing in this article something more about the first event of the month – Maison et Objet – and something else about my schedule.
/ MAISON ET OBJET fair, Paris
Maison et Objet is the top event related to interiors and decoration. This year the fair will host 700 exhibitors and an interesting set of events all around the city center.
One of the key trend themes will be the concept of “meta sensible“, describing in these words how the real design is taking more and more inspired from the digital one. We already spotted this trend and saw how it is translated into curved lines, iridescent colors, gum-like materials – so I’m very curious to see more about this.
Other than this, there will be a space called “Palais exotique” all designed by Cristina Celestino, the Italian designer who is named designer of the year for this MO edition. Interesting to see also the three curated spaces of the “What’s new?” sections that will be all about colors and trends.
I will be traveling to Paris and this year – other than taking part to the press trip with journalists organized by the fair, I will be working with MO organization and Stefan Nillson to bring our Trend Talks to their public.
The “Trend Talks” were invented by us as a way to share about the trends from fairs more directly in video format. The first Trend Talks were first auto-published by us during the last Milan Design Week in italianbark platform with tickets on sale.
So what happened is that the people from Maison et Objet organization really liked the concept and asked us to create a set of videos with the trends from Paris – so you will find our videos on MO channels and free of charge.

/ Other design events in September
The last week of September I will be visiting and reporting about two must-see events related to interiors and coverings happening here in Italy. In fact, the Cersaie is the top event in the world related to ceramics and bathroom design, while Marmomac is all about marble.
