Have you ever tried to root plants in water? It seems like the latest trend in green decor is to grow plants in glass vases filled with water.
Indoor hydroponic gardening means to grow plants that can survive without soil, just with water: it’s the best way to add indoor plants for all those who don’t like soil and who have pet at home (pets have fun with soil, ah ah). By growing plants in water you can also get beautiful arrangements thanks to the roots effect into water. From big round vases to medicine vials, the important thing is to use a transparent container: you can even hang it on the wall!
Of course not all plants will grow as indoor hydroponics, but there are a lot of possibilities: for example, some houseplants like hedera, philodendron, geranium, begonia, but also several herbs, as for example mint, oregano, basil, rosemary, lavender, and sage.
However…I’m still not sure that plants can grow easily without soil, just by rooting in water, so if somebody try or have tried this, please leave me a comment below!

Avete mai provato a fare crescere le piante solamente in acqua? A quanto pare è l’ultima tendenza in fatto di green decor e io no, non ho mai provato.
Niente terriccio, perciò è il metodo perfetto per far crescere il verde naturale in casa di chi ad esempio ha animali domestici (che spesso si divertono a giocare proprio con la terra delle piante…), forse per questo motivo è diventato così popolare. O forse anche perché facendo crescere le piante in acqua, con contenitori trasparenti, si creano dei bellissimi effetti decorativi grazie alle radici che si creano all’interno. Da grandi vasi sferici, a piccole provette magari appese, l’importante insomma è che siano assolutamente trasparenti.
Certo, non tutte le piante sono adatte a crescere solo in acqua, ma ci sono diverse possibilità: ad esempio, l’ edera, il geraneo, la begonia, ma anche molte piante officinali ed erbe, come ad esempio la menta, l’origano, il rosmarino, la salvia e la lavanda.
Comunque..io ancora non sono al 100% sicura che le piante possano crescere pure senza terra, perciò se l’avete provato a casa vostra, fatemi sapere qui sotto nei commenti!
