There are so many tracks of history in Italy that most of the interesting interior designs in my country can be found inside old constructions and ancient building. A great sample are the houses build inside Trulli, those typical houses located in Puglia region of ancient origin (even dating back to the early Sixteenth century), entirely built of dry stone and covered with the typical conical shape.
It’s really interesting to see how these homes have been preserved thanks to excellent restoration projects, and in some cases have became containers of luxury interiors with contemporary styles. I’ve collected two beautiful examples on the net of trulli interiors, characterized by their modernity and by the harmonized contrast between the interior and the ancient building…and, finally, a beautiful trullo in which I was lucky enough to sleep a few years ago!
