SHOP IT | The ultimate sophistication in Mustard Yellow

As you probably already know, we are painting @italianbark Instagram in Mustard Yellow this month. Being a sucker for the colour myself, I just had to pick up the theme and go crazy dreaming up a space that would be entirely made of gorgeous pieces in this sophisticated, yet very spicy shade.

Mustard yellow has been trending for a few seasons back as one of the ultimate ways to add a retro twist to modern spaces, and we’ve been seeing it everywhere, from boho chic living rooms and all the way to kids’ rooms.

One of my favourite picks has to be a mustard sofa, or an armchair, especially if it is made of velvet. These pieces are irresistible to the eye, but also impossible to keep your hands off. Also, such richness of colour and texture is bound to make a statement in just about any interior space.

Mustard yellow is a true team player. It glows under the spotlight but feels equally awesome while providing support for other colours to shine. You will find it easy to combine with almost any other trending colour at the moment and it will always bring in a sense of refined sophistication and character.

Is it everyone’s cup of tea? Hardly. But be honest, doesn’t this imaginary room feel super warm and chic?
