Did you notice how popular neutral paint colors on walls are in Scandinavian interiors?
Total white walls are fewer and fewer, and they’ve been replaced by neutral paint colors such as beige and warm grey (actually, that greige I was telling you about last year). I think that the trend is going more and more toward warm hues, so beige walls…but I also think that it is really hard to pick up the right beige, the risk of having a yellowish or pinkish wall is around the corner. So maybe it’s better playing safe with a warm shade of grey, that gives a good background but it’s easier to choose.
As you can see from the images, this range of neutral color paint works well with a neutral and warm palette also on furniture and accessories: for a really refined effect, try to match beige walls with wood, leather, and textiles in warm hues.

[ ITALIAN ]L’avete notato anche voi che sono molto frequenti gli interni Scandinavi dipinti con colori neutri, mentre le pareti bianche stanno pian piano scomparendo?
Beige e grigi nelle tonalità meno fredde (ovvero quel greige di cui vi parlavo ancora l’anno scorso qui): la tendenza va sempre più verso tonalità calde, e quindi verso vero e proprio beige…anche se io penso sia davvero difficile nella realtà scegliere una pittura beige con un bell’effetto, che non sia tendente al giallo o al rosa, quindi preferisco sempre la sua versione più fredda ovvero il greige.
Come vedete nelle immagini, a queste tonalità neutre vengono accostati arredi, accessori e tessili in tonalità altrettanto neutre e calde: per un effetto davvero raffinato, il beige si sposa molto bene con il legno grezzo, la pelle, le fibre naturali.
