If you are lucky enough to have a garden or terrace to decorate, you will have certainly realized how many proposals there are now the market for garden furniture. Today, in fact, the main outdoor design trend is decorating the outside with the same care of interior spaces, that is to say with upholstered furniture, textiles and accessories, by creating a proper living room in the garden. The proposals for outdoor design are really a lot now and they are all suitable to be left uncovered, thanks to new materials and technologies which specifically resist in the outdoor.
In addition to this, the latest collections of ceramic flooring today offer the same finish for indoor and outdoor, so you can create an effect of perfect continuity between interior and exterior. The stoneware is perfect to be used in the outdoor, because it is a very resistant material and also easy to clean; always keep in mind, however, that if you lay stoneware outside, you must choose a thicker stoneware and a non-slip textured finish should be chosen.
[ italian ] Se hai la fortuna di avere un giardino o una terrazza da arredare, ti sarai certamente reso conto di quante proposte esistano in commercio per l’arredo giardino. Oggi infatti la tendenza arredo outdoor è quella di decorare l’esterno con la stessa cura che si dedica agli spazi interni, vale a dire con imbottiti, tessili, accessori, che ricreino veri e propri salotti in giardino. Le proposte sono davvero molte e tutte adatte ad essere lasciate all’esterno durante la bella stagione, grazie a nuovi materiali progettati appositamente per resistere in giardino.
Non solo: anche le più nuove collezioni di pavimentazioni ceramiche oggi propongono la stessa finitura per indoor ed outdoor, in modo da creare un effetto di massima continuità tra interno ed esterno. Il gres è perfetto per l’outdoor, essendo un materiale davvero molto resistente e di facilissima manutenzione; va tenuto sempre presente però che, in caso di posa all’esterno, va scelto un gres di spessore maggiore e di finitura strutturata antiscivolo.

Just like decorating the living room, if you furnish the conversation corner of your garden you will find so many proposals. In order not to lose yourself in the choice, or worse, purchasing furniture that you will regret about, my advice is to ask yourself which is the style that best fits your tastes, then selecting the products. The result will be consistent and refined.
Today I share five different moodboards for the outdoor decor in five styles, which are on trend this year for the outdoor design. In all five proposals I started from the flooring, selected from Italian tiles brands La Fabbrica and ELIOS Ceramica.

[ italian ] Proprio come per arredare il living di casa, anche per arredare l’angolo relax e conversazione del giardino possiamo scegliere tra tantissime proposte. Per non perderti nella scelta, il mio consiglio è sempre quello di identificare uno stile che più rispecchi i tuoi gusti, in modo da selezionare i vari elementi per un risultato coerente ed evitare l’effetto improvvisato (o peggio, acquisti di cui poi pentirsi).
Ho ricreato oggi cinque proposte differenti con cinque stili di tendenza quest’anno per l’arredo outdoor. In tutte le proposte sono partita dal pavimento, in questo caso da cinque diverse collezioni dei brand italiani di ceramica per l’architettura La Fabbrica ed ELIOS Ceramica.

Japanese Style
If you dream about a garden corner with a Japanese mood, don’t forget to choose dark wooden essences and furniture with clean lines. For your flooring, together with gravel, you can opt for a stoneware with a natural stone effect.
Se sogni un angolo giardino con un mood giapponese, non dimenticare di scegliere essenze di legno scure e mobili con linee pulite. Per la pavimentazione, insieme alla ghiaia, puoi optare per un gres ad effetto pietra molto naturale.

Boho Style
If you prefer a bohemian style, you should opt for materials such as wicker and rattan, to be matched with outdoor fabrics in ethnic colourful patterns. This is a perfect style to add character in the outdoor, but it is rather challenging too, so I suggest you to opt for a neutral flooring in a very natural shade.
Se invece preferisci uno stile bohemien, i materiali per cui dovresti optare sono di sicuro il vimini e il rattan, da abbinare a tessuti per esterno in stampe a tema etnico. Si tratta di uno stile perfetto per l’outdoor ma piuttosto impegnativo, per questo ti consiglio di optare per un pavimento a base neutra in tonalità molto naturali.

Cozy Style
If you want to play safe, you could also go for a cozy modern style. Match wood in natural essences with fabrics, cushions, with some cozy furniture elements such as pouffs and hammocks. For the flooring, a natural stone effect to be matched with grass is a perfect choice.
Se vuoi stare più sul sicuro, puoi anche optare per uno stile moderno e accogliente. Abbina il legno in essenze calde e naturali con tessuti, cuscini, e alcuni elementi d’arredo più particolari come pouf e amache. Per la pavimentazione, un effetto pietra naturale da alternare all’erba è una scelta perfetta.

Mediterranean Style
This is the perfect inspiration if you are going to furnish an outdoor space in a maritime place. White and light wood, together with rope and light fabrics are the perfect materials for this style, matched with a light wooden effect stoneware flooring.
Questa è l’ispirazione perfetta se stai per arredare uno spazio all’aperto in un posto di mare. Il bianco e il legno chiaro, assieme a corda e a tessuti leggeri, sono perfetti per questo stile, che si adatta perfettamente ad un pavimento in gres effetto legno chiaro.

Scandinavian Style
Scandinavian style lovers, do you know that you can be inspired by Nordic moods also when furnishing the outdoor space, right? Choose neutral and natural colors, enlivened by colored cushions and by colourful lights for the outdoor. Here again, a wooden effect flooring looks perfect, perhaps darker in essence.
Fan dello stile Scandinavo, sapete che potete arredare anche lo spazio outdoor prendendo spunto dalle case nordiche vero? Scegliere colori neutri e naturali, vivacizzati da cuscini colorati e dalle immancabili lucine per esterno. Anche qui, per il pavimento potreste optare per un effetto legno, magari in essenza più scura.
