We were already talking last year in this post that one of the key trends for outdoor design and garden furniture is about decorating the outdoor with the same attention of interior spaces. That’s why I am not surprised to see that the latest collections for garden furniture reflect many similarities with the main trends of interior design. At the last Salone del Mobile, I had the opportunity to discover some interesting news for the outdoors that I am sharing today, together with some thoughts about the latest outdoor trends.
Talking about outdoor design sounds like the perfect way to start this month of June, right? As you may know, if you have been following me for a while, you also know that I am a lover of the outdoors. Every free time that I have, I try to spend it outdoors, in my small garden or enjoying a walk in the countryside around my home. I can really feel the benefits in my body and mind health when I am able to spend some time outdoors. So, I firmly believe that spending time outdoors, alone or with friends, but always close to nature, can really help in improving our lives in the short and long time.
We can call this Outdoor Therapy: outdoor activity is a real well-being therapy and represents an opportunity to qualify our life. This is why it is so important, in my opinion, to furnish the outdoor spaces with the same care and attention we give to the indoor. I’ll give you some ideas in this post!

Ne parlavamo già l’anno scorso in questo post di come l’outdoor e l’arredo da giardino oggi abbiano sempre più similitudini rispetto al design indoor. Ecco perché non mi ha sorpreso constatare che le ultimissime tendenze nel settore outdoor siano davvero molto simili a quelle dell’arredo indoor. All’ultimo Salone del Mobile, infatti, ho avuto l’opportunità di scoprire alcune interessanti novità per l’outdoor e aggiornarmi suglu ultimi trend di questo settore oggi in forte crescita.
Che poi, aprlare di arredo outdoor è il modo perfetto per iniziare questo mese di giugno, vero? Come forse saprai, se mi segui da un po’, sono un’amante della natura e degli spazi aperti. Anche se scrivo fondamentalmente di interni, confesso che ogni volta che ho del tempo libero cerco di trascorrerlo all’aperto, nel mio piccolo giardino o facendo una passeggiata in campagna. Sento davvero dei benefici quando riesco a trascorrere un po’di tempo all’aria aperta. Quindi credo fermamente che stare outdoor, da soli o con gli amici, ma sempre a contatto con la natura, può davvero migliorare le nostre vite nel breve e lungo periodo.
Possiamo definire questo concetto Outdoor Therapy: l’attività all’aperto è una vera terapia per il benessere e rappresenta un’opportunità semplice e alla portata di tutti per migliorare la nostra vita. Per questo è importante arredare anche gli spazi outdoor con attenzione e cura. Ti dò qualche spunto in questo post!

Outdoor Therapy = enjoying time together
Outdoor Therapy means from one side relax and recharge our batteries in a quiet outdoor environment, but on the other side, it can also mean spending quality time together with friends outdoor. Just think about a dinner in the garden with your friends in a warm evening, doesn’t it totally affect your mood in a positive way?
Talking about outdoor trends, we can translate this concept into the word conviviality. In design, we can translate this word into modular furniture which you can easily change according to the number of guests, or into big dining tables that can comfortably host many guests.

Outdoor Therapy significa da un lato rilassarsi e ricaricare le batterie immersi nella natura, in solitudine, ma dall’altro può anche significare trascorrere del tempo di qualità insieme agli amici all’aria aperta. Pensa ad esempio una cena in giardino con i tuoi amici in una bella serata d’estate, non influisce positivamente sul tuo umore?
Parlando di tendenze per l’arredo outdoor, possiamo tradurre questo concetto nella parola “convivialità“. Nel design, questa parola si trasforma in mobili modulari che puoi cambiare facilmente in base al numero di ospiti, oppure in grandi tavoli che possano ospitare comodamente molti ospiti.
