Pastel Colors : a Trend in the Interior and Decor

Spring is in the air, I’m writing for the first time from my sunny garden, so what’s better than talking about pastel interior trend?

I share today the interior and design inspirations I’ve collected in pastel colour shades during all this week. As I’ve told you in the introduction to this series of posts * 2014 interior decorating trends: a preview *, we have seen lots of pastel colors in interiors in 2013, and there will be a lot also in 2014. At least, by reading the annual colour report from Pantone and by all the images I’ve spotted in the net.

The best way to incorporate pastel colors in our home interiors, and the one we have seen a lot also last year, recalls for sure Scandinavian athmospheres and geometrical shapes. Usually by matching different pastels shades…this is a beautiful style for interiors that’s for sure, but today I would like also to add some different interior style choices for pastels more than Scandinavian ones.

For example, in a Bohemian interior or in a match with a bold shades like red.

Let’s go see them, and enjoy your Sunday, I will go to plant the coloured peonies I’ve just bought (my boyfriend said they are destined to a very short life, so there’s a challenge on going now..I know somewhere there’s my green thumb out there!)

Colori Pastello : un Trend negli interni e nel Decor

La primavera è nell’aria, per la prima volta scrivo dal mio soleggiato giardino, e cosa c’è di meglio se non parlare di colori pastello?Condivido oggi le immagini di interni che ho raccolto nel corso della settimana proprio nelle tonalità pastello…come ho già detto nell’introduzione di questa serie di post della domenica dal titolo * 2014 interior decorating trends: a preview *, ci sono stati un sacco di colori pastello l’anno scorso, e pare ce ne siano molti anche quest’anno, stando al report Pantone e a quanto si vede in internet.

Il modo più diffuso di abbinare queste tonalità di colore agli interni di casa, di cui si è visto già molto l’anno scorso, è senza dubbio lo stile Scandinavo, in cui tonalità pastello vengono abbinate tra loro e a pattern dalle geometrie lineari. E’ di sicuro uno stile molto affascinante, ma oggi vorrei spingermi un pò oltre aggiungendo delle immagini diverse, ad esempio di tonalità pastello in ambienti Bohemian oppure in contrasto con la tonalità più accesa per eccellenza, il rosso.Vi auguro una buona domenica, e me ne vado a piantare le peonie che ho appena comprato (il mio ragazzo ha detto che avranno vita breve, quindi ora c’è una sfida in corso, sono sicura che il mio pollice verde c’è da qualche parte lì fuori!)
