It’s officially summer and starting from today on the blog home tours will be dedicated to amazing holiday homes, to dream and be inspired. We start from the Azores, in Portugal with a beautiful home discovered on Boutique Homes, the platform dedicated to vacation destinations rentals for creatives and design lovers.
Looking at the photos of this holiday home in the Azores it is hard to believe that this house was once a barn, before the project of Portuguese architecture firm Mezzo Atelier. Indeed, the building was totally transformed it without losing its rural character.
The interiors are in fact characterized by a simple, contemporary yet rural, style. A great attention towards details make the interior space an unique mix of vintage and modern details. Wood, resin, lime walls, are the main finishes, together with a pop of colour in bright gen-z yellow in the kitchen corner.

The external facades instead were painted in a vibrant pink hue, adding this house a wow touch that makes it really unique. Ok, so would you spend your holidays here?

È ufficialmente estate e da oggi nel blog vi porteremo virtualmente in viaggio in alcune bellissime case vacanze, per sognare e farsi ispirare. Partiamo dalle Azzorre, in Portogallo, con una casa bellissima che ho scoperto tramite Boutique Homes, piattaforma dedicata a case vacanze per amanti del design.
A guardare le foto è difficile credere che questa casa una volta fosse un fienile, prima dell’intervento dello studio di architettura portoghese Mezzo Atelier che l’ha completamente trasformato senza perderne il carattere rurale.
Gli interni sono infatti caratterizzati da uno stile semplice ma curato nel minimo dettaglio, che mixa dettagli vintage e moderni. Legno, resina, pareti a calce, con unico accento di colore giallo nell’angolo cucina. Ricordate che vi parlavo del giallo come colore di tendenza per questa stagione in questo post? L’esterno invece è completamente stato ridipinto in rosa e l’effetto è davvero super!
