Let’s go to Finland today.
In the real life, today I’m running here and there in Milan in the most hectic week of the year, the Milan Design Week [just a note: to follow all live news and design scoutings just follow on the facebook page, on instagram and on twitter @italianbark] Virtually instead let’s have a coffee in this lovely Finnish interior: the owners are the graphic designerJirka Väätäinen and Pete Rahikainen, and I discovered this home in the wonderful blog My Scandinavian Home.
I’m striked by the simplicity of the details and the really easy style of this place: a mix of old and new with finds, treasures from trips, a touch of green, plus some unexpected details (i.e. have you noticed the bike hanging above the living room?). Everything mixed up with a nice touch of vintage thanksand floral prints.
Nothing else to say, the Finns have a plus (and we’re going to meet them next month, in fact 😉 )

Oggi vi porto con me un po’ in Finlandia.
Nella realtà sono in giro a Milano nella settimana più frenetica dell’anno..[a proposito: per seguire tutte le novità live vi ricordo la pagina facebook, il profilo instagram e twitter di ITALIANBARK]
Virtualmente invece ce ne andiamo a bere un caffé in questa casa finlandese: i proprietari sono il graphic designer Jirka Väätäinen e la partner Pete Rahikainen, casa che ho scoperto nel bellissimo blog My Scandinavian Home.
La semplicità dei dettagli e lo stile davvero easy sono ciò che più mi colpisce di questo interno: tanti oggetti di recupero, da viaggi dei rispettivi proprietari, qualche tocco di verde in casa, qualche dettaglio inaspettato (la vedete la bici appesa sopra il soggiorno?). Il tutto con un bel tocco di vintage grazie a qualche pezzo di modernariato e stampe floreali d’altri tempi.
Niente, i finlandesi hanno una marcia in più (e noi andremo a trovarli, infatti).
