As you know, Italy is facing a particularly difficult moment due to the Corona virus. The crisis is global, but Italy has been the first after China to be affected in really big numbers by the virus, despite being a much smaller country.
In these last weeks, I have been thinking a lot about how to use this website in a meaningful way to give some support to my own country.
Especially, to all those small and medium local brands who are facing the hardest times now. That’s why last week I started by sharing a call on Instagram for Italian creatives, small companies, start-ups, artisans, in the interiors and design industries, to share their story and work. The idea, in fact, was to create a new column in the blog dedicated to local artisans and design, where I will be sharing their works and stories. As a start, below you will find a beautiful guide of the best artisans straight from Venice, that you can visit online during quarantine to support Italian makers.
But there is something more I would like to share with you today guys as there are big news.
In fact, I have partnered with Modenus US, one of the best-known interior design platforms in the US which connects brands to architects and design professionals, to give further help and free international exposure to Italian brands, especially in the USA.

Get your brand and product featured on the Italian Makers collection on Modenus US
Modenus is one of the best-known interior design platforms in the US which connects brands to architects and design professionals, a curated design directory that serves a vast community of design professionals and design lovers from around the world.
After my post, I received a proposal from the US Modenus website founder Veronika in working together on giving a further support to Italian makers through their website. In fact, there will be a new page on Modenus entirely dedicated to Italian brands where to feature your brand and products. The aim is offering help and support in this critical moment, by giving exposure in the US. The space, which usually has a fee, will be for free until the end of 2020 as a special way to help us during the Corona crisis.
This is an amazing opportunity for Italian companies, even for the smallest, to become known in a huge market as the US is. The Italian Makers collection is a new a page entirely dedicated to Italian brands where to feature products, but also your website and social media details. We are interested in all kind of products in the home interiors and design and materials, especially for the kitchen and bathroom design, from brands of any size.
The page will also then shared on italianbark shop, with a new section dedicated to Italian makers. The most interesting stories will be then shared on the blog as well (as from my first post).
Once again I realize how wonderful is working on the web, how many connections we can create and how we can support each other, and everything without moving from our own homes.

Come sapete, l’Italia sta affrontando un momento particolarmente difficile a causa del corona virus.
In queste ultime settimane, ho riflettuto molto su come poter utilizzare questo sito web in modo più significativo, come forma di aiuto verso piccole e medie realtà italiane del nostro settore. Ecco perché la scorsa settimana ho condiviso un post su Instagram invitando creativi, piccole aziende, artigiani, start-up di settore a condividere la loro storia e il loro lavoro. L’idea, infatti, è quella di creare una nuova rubrica nel blog dedicata proprio alla condivisione di storie, novità e prodotti italiani creata con il vostro materiale. Intanto, ho cominciato con questa guida degli artigiani di Venezia, che potete visitare anche online durante questa quarantena.
Ma c’è un’altra bella opportunità nata proprio dal mio post della settimana scorsa!
La collezione Italian Makers su Modenus US
Modenus è una delle piattaforme di interior design più influenti degli Stati Uniti, che collega aziende a professionisti del settore, nonché un partner di moltissime fiere di settore. In risposta al mio post della settimana, Veronika – fondatrice di Modenus – mi ha proposto di lavorare insieme alla creazione di una nuova pagina su Modenus interamente dedicata ai marchi italiani. L’obiettivo è quello di offrire aiuto e supporto in questo momento critico, dando visibilità sulla loro pagina. Lo spazio, che di solito a pagamento, sarà gratuito fino alla fine del 2020 come un modo speciale per aiutarci durante la crisi di Corona.
Trovo sia una bellissima opportunità per le realtà italiane, anche per quelle più piccole, di farsi conoscere in un mercato enorme come quello degli Stati Uniti. La collezione Italian Makers sarà una vetrina virtuale di marchi italiani in cui condividere prodotti, assieme ai dettagli web e social media per facilitare le connessioni. La pagina verrà inoltre condivisa nell’ e-shop di italianbark , con una nuova sezione dedicata proprio ai produttori italiani. Le storie più interessanti verranno poi condivise anche nel blog.
Ancora una volta mi rendo conto di quanto sia bello lavorare nel web, quante connessioni possiamo creare e come possiamo sostenerci a vicenda, il tutto senza spostarci dalle nostre case.
