Unfortunately we will have to opt for a place that for sure have a less stylish and less original interior design than this restaurant named Wabi Sabi,
which is located in the Spanish city of Valladolid.
This stylish Japanese restaurant has been designed by studio Sandra Tarruella, a Spanish interior design practice, and it’s interesting because of its fusion between Japanese interior style and the typical design of Spanish taverns.
The essence of oak wood is the protagonist of Wabi Sabi interior, together with
big wall textiles decorated of Japanese style patterns, Geisha wall murals, traditional paper lanterns (that I love…I’ve written something about paper lamps month ago) and the choice of simple and linear furniture…
Worthy of a real Tokyo Japanese restaurant!

However, in my opinion the most original feature are these hanged golden silhouettes of tuna, salmon and puffers, falling from the ceiling:
from the outside they makes the window look like a golden acquarium…
A mio avviso però il dettaglio più originale sono i pesci dorati che scendono dal soffitto, e che fanno sembrare, dall’esterno della vetrina, l’ambiente interno come me fosse un acquario pieno di pesci dorati.
Degno di un vero ristorante giapponese a Tokyo!
