Tourists in Venice stroll around with their noses stuck up in the air, enraptured by the lavish buildings. But they are losing half of the show.
An instagram-obsessed and Venice lover as I am could not avoid sharing this photographic project called Venetian Floors.
German photographer Sebastian Erras, already known for a similar project in Paris, has walked around Venice to capture its most beautiful floors. That now are mapped in a beautiful interactive map you can download straight from the Pixartprinting.co.
Remember I talked about terrazzo flooring as one of the key features of Italian style interiors here: well, Sebastian photos are a jump in the best Venetian original terrazzo floorings, from different sestieri, from cafés and shops, to le scuole. A travel in the most interesting sightseeings in Venice with a new perspective: love it!!
Now, hands up — how many of you have not succumbed to the temptation of a selfeet yet. I did, at least once a month! (see here?)

Non potevo non parlarvi di questo progetto fotografico di nome Venetian Floors.
Il fotografo tedesco Sebastian Erras, già conosciuto per un progetto simile ambientato però a Parigi, ha camminato per venezia con la sua reflex per catturarne le pavimentazioni più belle. Che ora sono tutte localizzate in una mappa interattiva scaricabile da Pixartprinting.co.
Vi ricordate che parlavo della pavimentazione a terrazzo come uno dei tratti distintivi dello stile di interni italiano qui: ebbene, questo progetto è un vero e proprio tuffo nei terrazzi veneziani più belli, presi da sestrieri, caffé, negozi storici, scuole (inteso nel senso veneziano del termine). Un vero viaggio attraverso i luoghi più belli della città ma visti con una prospettiva del tutto diversa dalla solita.
E ora alzi la mano chi di voi non ha ancora ceduto alla tentazione di farsi un selfeet. Io ne ho fatto almeno uno al mese, guardare qui per credere!
