I’ll admit it, I have never been a dog person (unlike Elisabetta)…I feel more comfortable with the built environment.

Yet recently my younger brothers who live in Italy have adopted a super-cute Labrador puppy and suddenly a whole new world was open to me. I was very surprised at how friendly she was with me right away, it was touching. I wanted to feel more involved in her life – despite living abroad – so I started to look around for dog-friendly design (yes, my way to take care of her consists in shopping cute dog beds, creative toys and other cool things!).

Imagine my happiness when I stumbled on dog-friendly travel design brands. Yes, it’s a thing! And I’m here today to show you my two favourite finds.

Lo ammetto, diversamente da Elisabetta non sono mai stata particolarmente amante dei cani. Mi sento più a mio agio con l’ambiente edificato che con quello naturale (eccezion fatta per il mare).

Eppure recentemente i miei fratelli ( che vivono in Italia) hanno adottato un cucciolo di Labrador super carino e improvvisamente mi si sono aperti gli occhi su un mondo nuovo. Non mi aspettavo che Lili (il cucciolo) sarebbe stata così affettuosa con me già dopo i primi due minuti: scodinzolava e mi saltava intorno tutta contenta, è stata una bellissima scoperta. Volendo sentirmi partecipe della sua vita seppur vivendo lontano, ho iniziato a fare un po’ di ricerca sul design per cani (sì, il mio modo di prendermi cura di lei consiste nel comprare cucce di design, giocattoli e altre cose super carine!).

Immaginate la mia felicità quando mi sono imbattuta in brand di design che si occupano di viaggi per cani. Giuro che esistono!

Annemarie King is a 25 year old wedding photographer who is really passionate about animals and the natural world. She believes every pet deserves to be remembered for all those funny little expressions that make it unique and special to its owner. She ended up taking so many beautiful photos of her dog that her wedding clients started to ask her to photograph their dogs as well. And The Phodographer was born!

Annemarie King è una fotografa di matrimoni venticinquenne, appassionata di animali e della natura in generale. Crede che ogni animale domestico meriti di essere ricordato per tutte quelle buffe espressioni che lo rendono unico e speciale agli occhi di chi lo ha adottato. Inevitabilmente ha scattato così tante belle foto del suo cane che i clienti -di cui aveva fotografato i matrimoni- hanno iniziato a chiederle di fotografare anche i loro cani. E così è nata l’idea di The Phodographer!
