Today we go up this Parisian stairs, that reminds me of the colors and the setting of my favorite movie, Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain.

Virtually, we are together with Elisabetta MaisonLab and Nora design outfit, back in a hidden courtyard of the 9th arrondissement in Paris, the district of Grand Boulevards and the passages. There are two doors one next to the other, opening to two quite identical receptions: Adele‘s and Jules‘s one.

Vi porto virtualmente con me, Elisabetta di MaisonLab e Nora di design outfit in una corte nascosta del nono arrondissement a Parigi, quello dei Grandi Magazzini e dei passages. Ci sono due porte affiancate che portano in due reception praticamente identiche: una è quella di Adele, una di Jules.

Behind these doors there is an unusual little world made of bright colours and different details, put together in a perfect balance.
I’m usually more into a more minimalist interior style, that’s why when I see different bright colors, patterns, different materials that go together in a perfect match I’m always amazed. Adele et Jules has an eclectic style that brings together traditions both local and exotic, in a joyful mix that is the distinctive hallmark of the hotel, but also of this Parisian district.
Adele et Jules interior design has the signature of Stéphane Poux, who definitely is not afraid to dare with color. Perhaps this is a reflection of the years spent between Los Angeles and San Francisco?

Dietro queste porte si nasconde un piccolo mondo insolito fatto di tanti colori e dettagli, messi insieme in un equilibrio perfetto.
Io, che generalmente sono per uno stile di interni più minimale, quando vedo colori accesi, pattern, materiali diversi che stanno insieme in un match perfetto resto sempre a bocca aperta. Adele et Jules ha uno stile eclettico che mette insieme tante cose diverse, tradizione e richiami esotici, in un mix che è il carattere distintivo dell’hotel ma anche un po’ di questo quartiere di Parigi.
Il design degli interni di Adele et Jules è stato curato da Stéphane Poux, architetto d’interni che decisamente non ha paura di osare con il colore. Saranno forse stato gli anni trascorsi tra Los Angeles e San Francisco?

Adele et Jules the rooms
The truth is that Adele et Jules is not small at all, it is actually maden of two buildings together for a 60 rooms boutique hotel.
But the mood is so cozy and intimate that it makes you feel like at home: this is the feeling when you have breakfast in ground floor room, when you go up to the stairs, when you’re in the bedroom.
The pattern is the common decorative theme of all the rooms, designed around different matt color palettes that put together an eclectic mix of elements: the wardrobe in Chinese style, the desk in mid-century style, the wooden cladding and many different fabrics.
Our room was a small attic in the shades of light blue, with a view over the surrounding rooftops and a dreamy bathroom in azure, plus white tiles in Guimard style and a black&white patterned floor.

Adele et Jules le camere
La verità è che Adele et Jules non è affatto piccolo, sono due edifici messi insieme a formare un boutique hotel con un totale di 60 stanze.
Ma ha una dimensione talmente cozy e intima che sembra di stare a casa: è questa la sensazione quando fai colazione nella saletta al piano terra, quando sali per le scale, quando stai in camera.
Il pattern come tema decorativo dalla sala comune ritorna in tutte le stanze, studiate attorno a palette cromatiche che mettono insieme in modi diversi motivi ricorrenti in un mix eclettico: l’armadio in stile Cinese, la scrivania in stile mid-century, la boiserie e tanti diversi tessuti.
La nostra camera era un piccolo appartamentino sottotetto nei toni dell’azzurro, con vista sui tetti circostanti e con un bagno sempre nei toni dell’azzurro, con rivestimento in piastrelle bianche stile Guimard e pavimento con pattern in black&white.
