ITALIANBARK at the Milan Design Week 2015
Let’s start officially today for Mondays Made in Italy to talk about Milan Design Week and #weblogsaloni.
After all, for design bloggers this is a regular appointment you really can’t escape. And this year I would like to have fun with it just I used to do before blogging…
Indeed, I have to tell you this, even if I’ve never been a Milan-lover, I’ve always loved how this city livens up during Fuorisalone, and I used to wander there long before Italian Bark creation, for work and just for passion. Those years, there still were no iphones, no twitter, very few blogs, and I used to wander around with camera and paper block, looking for news and original finds, taking pictures and overloading my shoulders with heavy bags full of gadgets and business cards… And the most beautiful thing is that my approach to Design Week remained the same after the blog as well, something like if the blog is just a final place where to squeeze and share all my finds.

This is one of the reason we’ve created #weblogsaloni: Milan Salone del Mobile, Fuorisalone, Euroluce, Salone Satellite and side events, with all the implications they have in future design trends, they’re just too heterogeneous to be looked at from the limited point of view of one blogger… and we’ve created this group to share, to compare, to spread the world, to meet, and to involve all of us in our visits and finds.

L’avrete notato, forse si forse no, che c’è un nuovo banner alla destra e in basso….ebbene finalmente possiamo iniziare ufficialmente a parlare di Milan Design Week.
D’altronde, per noi design blogger questo è un pò come il cambio di stagione da inverno a primavera, un appuntamento fisso dal quale non puoi scappare. E io quest’anno voglio viverlo tornando un pò alle origini…
Devo dirvi che, se da un lato non ho mai amato un granchè la città di Milano – ve l’ho già rivelato qualche volta…- mi è sempre piaciuto un sacco il Salone del Mobile, anzi direi di più il Fuorisalone, e come si anima la città in questa particolare settimana dell’anno. Molto prima di Italian Bark direi… il cagnetto non esisteva neanche nei miei pensieri quando me ne andavo in giro per le varie zone di Milano armata di macchinetta fotografica (eh, ancora no di iphone!) e blocco, in cerca di novità e cose curiose di design. E la cosa bella è che il mio approccio verso la settimana del design a Milano non è cambiata molto da quando ci andavo anni fa, allora senza tanti twitter, blog e facebook. Già allora mi divertivo a fotografare le curiosità, a caricarmi la schiena con borse piene di biglietti da visita e di gadget particolari, e a girare per una Milano che parti alla mattina con giubbotto e ti ci ritrovi a mezzogiorno a girare a mezze maniche, tra una folla di persone venute da tutte le parti del mondo, a pranzare tra i chioschetti e a scoprire nuove esposizioni tra i cortili nascosti dei palazzi storici.
