Time for getting ready for another important design event, Maison et Objet 2016, which will be held next week from 22nd to 26th January in Paris. The biannual event showcases news and collections from well-known brands as well as emerging designers, influencing the design and interior trends for the year with news and innovations.
The Pink Dog will be there, to smell design news and trends, and be inspired. Hopefully, to inspire you as well.
Some interesting focuses at first sight:
- “Talents à la Carte” , the corner for the promising young names of design, this year is is all about Scandinavian designers. Minimalism and green design, I already spotted some names seen last September in London (remember my favourites from Tent London 2015 round up here?)
- The designer of the year for this edition is Spanish designer Eugeni Quitllet : curious to see his Machine Man exhibit.
Last year, it was the turn of Nendo with “The Chocolatexture Lounge”, do you remember his great space?

- “WILD” : this season, the MAISON&OBJET Observatoire de la Maison choose to focus on the WILD theme, with a space designed by François Bernard.
*What’s M&O observatory? Created in 2002, the “Home Observatory”, catalogues new trends in consumption and emerging lifestyles. The group defines a unifying theme for the season. Emotions, Desires, Secret, Luxuries, Use, Intensity, developed across three platforms: the Inspirations Film, the Inspirations Forum and the Inspirations Book.
