While looking for interesting inspirations and interiors for our next travel in Spain I discovered this amazing Bohemian interior in Madrid.

Designed by Luis Galliussi, this colourful Spanish apartment  is decorated in a beautiful Boho style mixing colours and decorating ideas.

The living room is a perfect balanced match of bright colours and natural materials. The fucsia and green velvet sofas – designed by Luis himself and inspired by Coco Chanel apartment – are paired with some wooden stools, some wooden stones bought in Cote Azur and a beautiful rattan chair from a Parisian flea market. A huge cord area rug and a baroque statement mirror complete the sitting corner.

On the other side of the room, an iconic white Tulip table is matched with some chairs designed by Luis and upholstered with a colourful Bolivian fabric in a bright striped pattern. Over the wooden vintage buffets, the big canvas by Venezuelan painter Pedro Sandoval.

Mentre facevo un po’ di ricerca in Pinterest di interni e varie per il nostro prossimo tour della Spagna ho scoperto questo bellissimo appartamento a Madrid.

Progettata da Luis Galliussi, questa casa Spagnola è decorata in uno stile Bohemien e ricchissimo di spunti.

Partendo dal living, che è un bel mix tra tinte accese e materiali naturali. Il divano e le poltrone in velluto sono state disegnate dallo stesso Luis, ispirandosi a quelli di casa Coco Chanel; insolito ma perfetto l’abbinamento con gli sgabelli in legno, con i massi in legno comprati in Costa Azzurra e con la bellissima seduta in rattan, anch’essa presa in Francia ma in un mercatino delle pulci a Parigi. Un grande tappeto in corda e un mega specchio barocco completano l’angolo soggiorno.

Al lato opposto della stanza, un iconico tavolo Tulip bianco viene sdrammatizzato dalle sedute disegnate anch’esse da Luis e rivestite in tessuto Boliviano a tinte accese. Sopra al mobile vintage, i dipinti colorati del venezuelano Pedro Sandoval.

The other rooms are a successful mix of creative ideas and colours: fuchsia hue repeats in the different rooms, for example in the hallway which is entirely decorated with colourful dishes bought in paris with 30 cents each. There are plenty other items, also cheap ones, that the designer took back from his past travels, such as a painting from Tokyo, statues from New York, and other artworks by Pedro Sandoval: this Bohemian interior in Madrid is really a bright example of how you can add value also with some low-cost items, if they are placed with a coherent scheme and they tell a story.

As Luis says,  “All the decorations must have an emotional history, something to show, a way to tell.”

Anche le altre stanze sono un mix davvero ben riuscito di colori ed idee creative: il fucsia torna come colore ricorrente nelle varie stanze, ad esempio nel corridoio che è interamente decorato con piatti comprati a 30 centesimi l’uno a Parigi. Insomma, minima spesa, massima resa! Tra le stanze ci sono moltissimi altri oggetti acquistati nei vari viaggi del designer, ad esempio un quadro da Tokyo, statuette prese a New York, altre opere di Pedro Sandoval: questa casa è proprio un esempio di come anche degli oggetti low cost, se posizionati con gusto e legati ad un ricordo, possano acquisire davvero un valore.

Come dice Luis: “Tutte le decorazioni devono avere un legame emotivo, che è, mostrano una traccia, un percorso“.
