Happy week and also good back to work guys!

How was your vacation? We spent beautiful times and I’m back today at work, a little bit sleepy yes but full of ideas and plans. An exciting September is coming ^_^

But let’s get to the point because I have big news today here.

In the last post before the break here I told you that one of the things I learnt this year is that I cannot do everything by myself: this blog has grown a lot, together with my freelance job. Many collaborations and projects, travels, deadlines, and not as much time for writing here as I would need.

That’s why I restart here by looking for contributors to ITALIANBARK.

The reason above is not the only one.

I must tell you that I feel the need to work with someone else and to open this blog for new contributions. I’ve always thought about this blog as something personal, but I hate being self-referential and the risk is right around the corner if you work by yourself for a long time. And then, I look forward to wide the About page of the blog with new faces!

Ideally I look for two people with one/two articles per month. My idea is to give you your own coloumn, not spot articles, in order to make your work easy to manage and challeging. I’m also open for ideas and suggestions, of course. It’s a paid work: I do not accept writing in other blogs for free, so I do not think you should do it for me. Sounds so obvious to me, but unfortunately it is not and still people exchange work and time for exposure.

So let’s go more in the details now:

||| I’m looking for

• Sense of aesthetics, flair for design news, curiosity;
• Good written English. I’m not a native English speaker and my Engligh is not perfect and always correct, I know, but as much fluent and correct to work together with international brands. Probably, having worked/studied abroad for a while helps
• Italians is not essential (I can easily translate your posts in Italian by myself). Ideally, I’m looking for people living abroad, with a different background, places and experiences to share, from mine
• SEO and SERP: you must know the meaning of these words;
• Good knowledge about interior and design (brands, trends, etc). This does not mean being an architect/interior designer or similar: I know several design bloggers who come from a very different background and are very talented and passionated!
• Original contents

||| I’m not looking for

• Fake contributors who are looking for brands/agencies link placement (guest posts are advertising and this is a different thing).

||| It’s a plus if

• You run a personal blog (or youtube channel, facebook page, etc) , to be linked in your profile on the About page of the blog;
• You have an updated Pinterest profile, it’s useful for me to know your sense of aesthetics. I also would love to work together through shared Pinterest boards
• There would be several other plus, I’m waiting to hear more from you! (for example loving dogs could be one ^_^ )

Second news to restart this year…

ITALIANBARK is in the shortlist of the Amara Interior Blogs Award, the award for best European interior blogs. Yes it’s fourth year in a row and this makes me really happy, and it makes me think I’m an aged blogger and need help 😀

Buona settimana e buon inizio!

Come avete trascorso le vacanze? Io direi molto bene e oggi ricomincio, ancora un po’ assonnata, ma piena di idee e programmi per i prossimi mesi. A cominciare da Settembre, che sarò un mese davvero pieno di belle cose ^_^

Ma arriviamo al dunque perché oggi ho una notizia importante da darvi!

Ci eravamo lasciati prima delle vacanze con questo post in cui vi dicevo ci sarebbero state delle novità qui nel blog, e vi dicevo anche che se c’è una cosa che ho capito in quest’anno è che non riesco a fare tutto da sola: da un lato è cresciuto molto questo blog, dall’altro lo è anche il mio lavoro da freelance. Tante collaborazioni e progetti, trasferte, impegni, che non mi permettono di dedicare alla scrittura qui il tempo che vorrei.

Per questo motivo ho deciso di ripartire cercando dei collaboratori per ITALIANBARK

Ma non è solo questo il motivo.

Devo dirvi anche che sento il bisogno di collaborare con qualcuno e allargare questo blog a nuovi contributi. Ho sempre pensato a queste pagine come qualcosa di personale ma odio l’essere autoreferenziale e questo è il rischio di chi, per così tanto tempo, scrive da solo. Ho bisogno di un confronto reale, con persone diverse da me, con un bagaglio diverso. E poi non vedo l’ora di allargare la pagina About del blog con nuovi volti!

Idealmente cerco due persone, per un impegno di uno/due articoli al mese. Vorrei affidare delle rubriche, non degli articoli a spot, in modo da rendere il vostro lavoro il più indipendente e stimolante possibile. Non è detto che nel tempo l’impegno si possa trasformare in qualcos’altro. Ovviamente il tutto retribuito: non avrei accettato mai io di scrivere gratuitamente per altri, non vedo perché dovresti farlo tu per me. Mi sembra scontato perfino scriverlo, ma con tutto quello che si vede in giro oggi nel web, purtroppo non lo è e quindi lo specifico.

Nello specifico:

||| Cosa cerco

• Occhio fotografico, naso per le novità, senso estetico, curiosità;
• Conoscere bene l’inglese scritto. Il che significa scrivere senza usare i traduttori. Io stessa non scrivo in un inglese perfetto e corretto, lo so, ma quanto basta per essere credibile con i brand esteri che desiderano collaborare con questo blog. Aver vissuto/studiato/lavorato un periodo all’estero in un paese anglofono di sicuro aiuta;
• L’italiano è secondario (posso tradurre facilmente io). Idealmente cerco qualcuno di diverso da me, magari che viva in un posto lontano: penso che le differenze possano solo arricchire questo blog!
• Se ti dico SEO e SERP, sapere almeno cosa sono;
• Conoscenza delle tematiche interior e design (brand, tendenze, ecc). Non serve essere per forza architetti o addetti del settore, comunque: conosco tante colleghe blogger di interior, preparate e di talento, che hanno una formazione diversa dalla mia!
• Contenuti originali

|||| Cosa non cerco

• Falsi contributors che cercano di piazzare link aziendali (in questo caso si tratta di pubblicità ed è un altro discorso).

||||  Plus

• Avere un tuo blog personale (o magari canale youtube, pagina facebook,  ecc) che verrà linkato nel tuo profilo personale in pagina About del blog;
• Un profilo Pinterest aggiornato, mi serve per capire se  abbiamo affinità di gusti. Mi piacerebbe poi lavorare anche tramite cartelle condivise
• Ce ne possono essere altri mille, ditemeli voi! (tipo amare i cani ^_^ )

La seconda novità per ricominciare l’anno,

è che ITALIANBARK è nella shortlist dell’ Amara Interior Blogs Award, il premio per i migliori blog di settore europei. È il quarto anno di fila che accade e la cosa mi rende davvero felice, oltre che ricordarmi che il tempo passa, che io invecchio e che ormai ho bisogno di una mano 😀
