Designers, architects and brands are called to address climate change: one of the key topics discussed at this Stockholm Design Week was for sure how to cut carbon emissions. Many brands showed new approaches, with the aim of reducing their own emissions impact .

Sound has become a crucial element in designing for well-being due to its impacts on our performance and creativity. As a result, new sustainable and multifunctional soundproofing solutions can be seen both in claddings and tiles, together with many proposals for workspaces and communal areas. Office soundproofing pods were especially particularly popular in this year edition of the Stockholm Furniture Fair.

Designers are now revisiting heritage in a contemporary fashion and as a consequence, we are seeing a rebirth of old materials and traditions. I have seen, especially, many works inspired by Japanese design, showing a beautiful fusion between Oriental and Scandinavian design and between tradition and modernity.
