This morning I found myself browsing my Pinterest folder of random inspirations and I realized there’s one common characteristic in my latest favourite pins: leather at home.
That leather in natural and warm hues like cognac leather, tan, caramel and camel.
The strange thing is that in this period I’ve also an obsession for one basic bag, without any brand, in natural leather I found in my wardrobe, and I realize I’m wearing just that one in these months…I’ve also a pair of boots in a similar leather and love them. These are somehow like my favourite jeans, that you can wear with everything!

Questa mattina mi sono ritrovata a sfogliare la mia cartella Pinterest e ho realizzato che nei miei preferiti, quelli che salvo un po’ random e tengo segreti – ebbene si – c’è una variabile ricorrente: la pelle in casa.
Quella in tonalità naturali, calde, caramello e cognac.
La cosa strana è che mi sono pure accorta di usare in questo periodo sempre la stessa borsa. Trattasi di una tracolla assolutamente senza marca anch’essa in pelle color caramello: le borse firmate se ne stanno lì e io mi ritrovo ad usare sempre quella borsetta, un po’ rovinata e deformata, che sta tanto bene con tutto. Ho anche un paio di stivali nella stessa tonalità, deformati e senza marca pure questi, e li metto tanto volentieri da anni. Sono un po’ come il mio paio di jeans preferiti!

So I’ve done a little more of research about this and I learnt that cognac is one of those trends in which experts are betting for the next year – here for example in Eclectic Trends an interesting posts about fashion&interior trends for 2016.
As a further confirmation, the 2016 interior colour trends report by Dulux Uk I showed you a few days ago: natural colours like cognac and camels perfectly fit into the colour palette in warm tones identified by experts as the 2016 palette. Also in the very recent Norway interior&boligmessen cognac was chosen among colour of the year, together as white and black (as for Scandinavian tradition).

Ho quindi fatto un po’ di ricerca e a quanto pare il cognac è uno di quei trend che vede moda e design andare a braccetto – ce lo spiega anche Gudy nel suo post qui. Anzi molti scommettono sarà un trend forte per il prossimo anno, mentre a me sembra già attualissimo – altroché anno prossimo.
A ulteriore conferma del trend, il report che vi ho fatto vedere qualche giorno fa sui colori per la casa del 2016: tonalità calde e piuttosto neutre, tra le quali questa del cognac si inserisce alla perfezione.
Non solo: anche nella recente fiera Norvegese interior&boligmessen il cognac è stato inserito tra le tonalità dell’anno, ovviamente assieme al bianco e nero che si sa in Norvegia non moriranno mai 😉

Natural leather is also particularly charming in autumn times: is a shade that will help to warm up an interior – as recently seen in this flat makeover in Paris , that you loved so much in the facebook page!-, and that can also match perfectly with some other trendy colours, such as indigo and petrol blue.

La cosa bella è che quello della pelle in tonalità calde, del cognac e del caramello, è un vero classico che torna come moda.
In altre parole, un investimento sicuro che andrà al di là delle mode del momento: perché lo si abbina con tutto, un po’ come la mia borsetta deformata. Perché ha un sapore di eleganza senza tempo, che quindi va al di là delle mode.
E’ un colore che ad esempio mi sentirei di scegliere con sicurezza per un divano, ovvero per uno di quegli elementi di arredo della casa su cui si vanno ad investire un po’ più di soldi perché durino un bel po’.
Ma è anche un colore che mi sembra perfetto per questa stagione autunnale: una tinta che scalda gli ambienti e che si abbina benissimo ad altre tonalità del momento, penso ad esempio all’indaco e al blu petrolio.
Guardare per credere!
