ITALIAN DESIGN | 8 NEW + NOTED Tiles and Ceramics from CERSAIE 2017

Hello guys! Here in Italy it has been almost a summery weekend so I spent some time enjoying the sun and the outdoor. It’s the best way to come back recharged on Monday right?

Today I’m sharing an interesting selection of new Italian design products I noticed at last Cersaie 2017, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings: take note!

Cersaie 2017 New + Noted

1 | Corrispondenza by Dimorestudio x Ceramica Bardelli

I already noticed this colourful geometric tiles, cm 20×20 (8″x8″) size, at Milan Design Week 2017, when Dimorestudio used it in their beautiful exhibit in Brera. I love the colours and think they are really a sum of the key colours for 2018 : do you agree?

2 | Fabric by Marazzi

Fabric tiles, 40×120 cm in 5 colours, are inspired by natural fibres, with a new minimalist interpretation of the fabric decorating theme

3 | Frammenti + Micro Bricks by nendo x Micro.

Progetto Micro investigates on the smallest tile sizes: Frammenti is the smallest mosaic in the world, in three materials and finishes; micro-bricks is the collection by studio Nendo. It seems quite clear that, after the big tile sizes trend, now the tile trend is to research on the smallest possible sizes!

4 | Tavoli Talk + new ceramics by Cerasarda Atelier

Abitare la Terra by Cerasarda is the stoneware collection inspired by the beautiful natural colours of Sardinia, Italy. Talk tables are covered with them. Love also their new ceramic collection for the table ♥

5 | Drawn by Piet Hein Eek x Decoratori Bassanesi

Still a prototype, this tile collection by Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek features one unique tile, size 20×25, with handrawn mosaics and small tiles

6 |Linea by Lex Pott x Decoratori Bassanesi

This tile collection plays around the new geometries created by a broken hexagon, one of the key trends of last Cersaie

7| Palladiana by Studiopepe x Ceramica Bardelli

Love this new tiles by Studiopepe, size 60×60 and 60×120, with four beautiful subtle colour schemes and broken geometries

8| Punto linea and Acquerello by Annika Cova x Made+39

These new tiles designed By Annika Cova have one unique size, 24″x24″, with two beautiful handrawn effects, one in watercolours and one in pencil and pen
