At last!! I can say I’ve finished with my home office declutter and restyling project.

In the meantime, as I’ve told you in my home office post last week, I’ve painted in white the cabinet doors and the drawers’s front, before they were in dark brown, do you remember? It’s been quite laborious but I’m really happy now with this choice: the corner has become much brighter now than before. I’ve also changed the old black table lamp with a new one, a white table lamp in Nordic style that I love (I’m doing a shopping list with everything I’ve bought for this project, soon on the blog 😉 )

Finalmente!!

Sì posso dire di avere finito.  E’ durato praticamente un mese questo radicale riordino e successivo restyling, ma ora questo piccolo angolo ufficio lo sento finalmente mio 🙂

Intanto, come vi dicevo nello scorso post di #myhomeoffice qui, mi sono messa a ridipingere i cassetti e le ante, che prima erano in marrone scuro. E nonostante sia stata una bella faticaccia sono molto contenta della scelta, ora tutto lo spazio è diventato davvero molto più luminoso!  Ho anche deciso di  cambiare anche la vecchia lampada da tavolo nera che avevo prima, con una bianca in stile nordico, ma farò nei prossimi giorni una shopping list completa con quello che ho acquistato e vi dirò tutto!

my home office green

I do not have a green thumb, I know. But with all those inspiring home offices with green I’ve seen in our shared pinterest board I though that it was essential to add in my office corner a green touch. This makes every interior look more confortable and fresh, do you agree? So I’ve gone for two plants that do not need lot of water, a big succulent and an aloe (which is overall my favourite plant essence!). Hopefully, we’re going to spend nice times together!

Ho pensato poi fosse necessario per rendere lo spazio più piacevole aggiungere un po’ di verde, nonostante io non sia affatto dotata di pollice verde…ma poi tutte le ispirazioni che avete pinnato nella board condivisa di #myhomeoffice mi hanno invogliata ad aggiungere un tocco di verde anche nel mio angolo. Così ho comprato due piante che necessitano di poca acqua, una di aloe -la mia essenza preferita in assoluto- e una bella pianta grassa. Speriamo che la convivenza sia felice e duratura 😉

Then, it’s time for wall decor. After my radical home office declutter, they were really too bare for my taste.  I’ve bought four simple black and white frames: for the black ones I’ve printed two quotes that hope will be helpful in hard working times (the black one has always been my working mot 😉 ), for the white ones I’ve printed two images that make me smile (one is a pic of my dog runninr to the sea, love it, makes me laugh everytime I see it!).

Then, I’ve finished my wall art composition with some squared prints I had in my drawer, I printed them from  prinstagram last year and still haven’t used them yet…together with Eiffel Tour, that’s always a good idea 😉 The black “create” sign comes from a small design shop in Ljubjana, do you remember?

On my right, I have a brand new pinboard I’m using for post-it and things I need, for example pc passwords. There’s also our calendar from HomeStyleBlogs pinned here.

Infine, le pareti! Dopo il mio declutter radicale erano decisamente troppo spoglie per i miei gusti. Ho deciso cosi di appendere quattro quadretti, con due frasi che mi aiutino nei momenti di lavoro più duri, ricordandomi di avere pazienza, e con la mia frase preferita in nero…e due immagini che invece solo a guardarle mi mettono allegria (la mia cagnetta che corre verso il mare!).

Poi, ho completato con delle stampe quadrate fatte tramite il sito prinstagram fatte l’anno scorso dal mio feed instagram, e un’ immancabile Torre Eiffel 🙂 La scritta “create”invece l’avevo acquistata qualche weekend fa a Ljubjana, ricordate?

Mi tengo invece sulla destra un pannello pronto per ogni evenienza, per attaccarci gli ultimi post it, con le varie password ad esempio, e poi il calendario HomeStyleBlogs di quest’anno.

Do you remember the wall on my right side before my declutter (here, first post) ? I’ve decided to clean it out and to leave just three rounded hangers, two come from Copenhagen and one from Amsterdam (see you next week for the shopping list 😉 ). I know, they really have a different style from the azulejo ‘Aqui vive un arquitecto‘…but I don’t mind, I love this wall plaque, and want it to be hanged here 😉 There also was a spike in the wall left, I’ve hanged a simple crutch there, maybe it will be useful as well? I use round hangers for my badges, and I’ve hanged here some talismans from Bahia as well (it seems that throwing away those colourful lacets called “Fita do Bonfim”will bring you bad bad luck, here you can find my short guide of Salvador de Bahia!)

For my paper rolls, I’ve bought few days ago a Sac Papier from an online store. I’m very happy with this choice

Vi ricordate com’era la parete di destra (il primo post lo trovate qui…)? Qui ho deciso di ripulire e lasciare solamente tre appendini, due arrivano da Copenhagen e l’altro da Amsterdam (vi rimando sempre alla settimana prossima per la shopping list). Lo so, non c’entrano nulla con l’azulejo ‘Aqui vive un arquitecto’ ma chissenefrega a me piace troppo, ed è pure un pensiero che mi è stato dato per i miei trenta, e me lo tengo appeso qui! C’era poi un chiodo già piantato, sotto la presa, ci ho messo una semplicissima gruccia…magari potrà servire. Gli appendini gli utilizzo per i vari badge, oltre ad averci appeso un portafortuna coloratissimo da Bahia (sembra che buttare via le cosiddette “Fita do Bonfim” ovvero quei laccetti colorati porti una sfiga assurda– – trovate qui una piccola guida a Salvador de Bahia!)

Per i miei rotoli di carta, ho acquistato online in questi giorni un Sac Papier …ed è stata una bella scelta, da subito un’idea di ordine anche sotto la scrivania, e soprattutto ci posso mettere rotoli e stecca da 60 cm, che altrimenti non sapevo dove andare a sistemare.

Now I can say this, I’m really pleased with my home office restyling now.

It’s really been important for myself to organize this corner of my home, first because it is something symbolic and it represents a small big change in my working life. Now I have a place where to work which really reflects myself , and I’m happy I’ve done it almost entirely by reusing things I already had, this is the evidence that you can completely change the look of a place without buying new furniture! Few money but lots of patience…

Che dire, sono davvero felice del risultato.

Per me e’stato davvero importante questo piccolo progetto, perchè rappresenta una sistemazione simbolica oltre che fisica. Un periodo di piccoli grandi cambiamenti nella vita, e finalmente ho un posto in cui lavorare  che mi riflette per davvero. Che poi, sono felice di come questo angolo sia completamente cambiato senza comprare nuovi mobili, tanto per dire che a volte basta poco denaro (ma tanta pazienza, quella sì) per migliorare l’aspetto delle cose.

Conoscendomi, non credo proprio che sarei riuscita con tanta determinazione se non avessi pensato di condividere questa cosa in tempo reale con coi, sapete? Ed e’incredibile come grazie all’ hashtag #myhomeoffice abbia inconsapevolmente dato origine a una serie di riordini tra le scrivanie qua e là…Ne ho ricevute tante di immagini, e sto lavorando in questi giorni per ringraziare tutti voi!!!
