MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2019 MUST-SEE | My itinerary in Milan Fuorisalone + Salone

Enjoy my list of the top things to see at Milan Design Week 2019.

Are you planning your visit to the Milan Design Week? Are you putting together your itineraries for the Milan Fuorisalone but feeling there is too much to see and do, so just giving up?

I know the feeling. Maybe you don’t believe me, but for me it’s exactly the same. Even if I’ve been visiting the Milan Design Week for some years now, even if I’ve been reading all the previews, every year I feel quite confused too. There is just too much to see and I already know that, once in Milan, most of my visits will be unplanned. And the fun thing is that usually those are the most interesting too, at the end.

That’s why I’m not creating any itinerary for myself.

What I do, instead, while planning my stay in Milan during the Design Week is listing on a notebook (or maybe on my phone, I told you about some useful tools for interior designers and freelance bloggers here) some exhibits I do not want to miss. I locate them in my Milan Google map and, when I’m in Milan, I try to match them with others in the nearby.  That’s it.

I’ve collected in this post my must-sees of Fuorisalone 2019 and my visits at Salone del Mobile:

But above all: let’s have fun and enjoy the most inspiring week of the year.

PS: Remember to share on Instagram your photos in Milan by tagging with #milanobark . We are reposting the best on @italianbark Instagram and in the second issue of the N/T Trendbook ^_^

STUDIOPEPE Les Arcanistes

Via Garofalo 24

Studiopepe’s Manifesto Project for Milan Design Week 2019 unfolds inside a large industrial space which was used in the 1900s for the manufacturing of gold. The exhibit will be inspired by historical figures and rituals. The arcanists were the first chemists, holders of the arcane (secret) knowledge of the formulas used to create porcelain and for the manufacturing of matter in general, such as glass and metals. Arcanas are also featured on the 21 tarot cards, where they represent the collective unconscious. This led to Studiopepe’s highly personal interpretation of the interplay between matter and divination.
